I remember an episode from the second to last season of "Happy Days" in which Melvin Belvin was dating K.C. Cunningham. After the costume party, Melvin put his arm around K.C. and she started to protest. In any attempt to tell her that he could not control what he was was doing he said "my hormones are on roller skates"! Well, I would say that "hormones on roller skates" is a good way to describe what happened to Katie in "Samantha's Protest".
First we have the hararious situation in which Katie and Julie are walking through the front door and Julie say's "I cannot believe the hight of your egotism, he was not whisteling at you, he was calling his dog"! A very horny and very conceated Katie tells Julie to get in touch and adds that that boy always whistles at her. In addition to being like the guy from "Happy Days" I would say that Katie also acted a little bit like the way that Fred Flintstone usually acts in similar situations. If you want to believe something badly enough, you tend to ingore all evidence to the contrary. At least some people do.
I think that case where the real "hormones on roller skates" really came into play was at the protest. To start with, Katie uses every excuse in the book to pay the boy complements. When the other protesters lock arms to form a line, Katie grabs one of the boy's arms with one of hers and puts the other over his shoulder. She then holds herself in such a way so that her breasts and her crotch are in contact with his body. She is in heaven for about five seconds! Unfortunately for Katie, the line of protesters ends with Julie! Katie's grossed out sister yanks one of Katie's arms away from the guy and wraps her own arm around it. While doing this she says, "like this Katie"! She than looks towards Nell and says "that is absolutely disgusting"! I thought that in this instance, Julie acted like the model of decency and sophistication. On top of this, I thought that she looked like a knockout in her long blue skirt!
God bless you Julie!
