I have always had a curved screen) My monitor is 17" CRT and my computer model is AIM ('Area Idea Mechanics' I believe it stands for) stevea 03-07-2026, 06:48 PM Mac laptop. ThisLittlePiggy 03-07-2026, 06:51 PM HP Laptop Dude111 03-07-2026, 06:53 PM We have one of those also...... It has an older version of the software on it..... Still works good but I dont like all the warnings which to me are just scare mongering crap I dont want to see!! Ya cant disable the warnings either!!! (On Chrome,Firefox or Safari) I am very glad to have what I have!! -- IE6 (MyIE2) Yes I cant watch youtube easily but I am so grateful for my setup!!! Dead2009 03-07-2026, 08:28 PM It's because you need an antivirus software which isn't compatible with a computer you need to upgrade I have a HP chromebook stevea 03-07-2026, 08:58 PM It's because you need an antivirus software which isn't compatible with a computer you need to upgrade I have a HP chromebook Exactly! They are probably warnings about the age of the browser and/or operating system software, or are malware. And malware may not just affect your computer. Malware can use an infected computer as part of a botnet. Dude111 03-07-2026, 09:02 PM No its warnings about the site not being private,secure,etc... THE INTERNET IS NOT PRIVATE.. ITS ALL SCARE MONGERING B*******!!! Dead2009 03-07-2026, 10:16 PM No its warnings about the site not being private,secure,etc... THE INTERNET IS NOT PRIVATE.. ITS ALL SCARE MONGERING ********!!! That has nothing to do with the internet being private, it has to do with the sites you visit and the browser you're using being secure and safe to use. IE6 is no longer safe to use, it's outdated. Dude111 03-07-2026, 10:26 PM Well I dont wanna see useless warnings dead about sites not being SSL or private,etc... It just scare tactics to box people in,scare them off older browsers.. When I come to CABLEFORUM.CO.UK/board it says this with chrome Your connection is not private Attackers might be trying to steal your information from www.cableforum.uk (for example, passwords, messages, or credit cards). NET::ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID This server could not prove that it is www.cableforum.uk;its security certificate is not trusted by your computer's operating system. This may be caused by a misconfiguration or an attacker intercepting your connection. I can still goto Pauls site but I cant disable getting that... Its all fear mongering.. I dont have to look at that with IE6 buddy :) stevea 03-07-2026, 10:51 PM Well I dont wanna see useless warninga dead about sites not being SSL or private,etc... I dont have to look at that with IE6 buddy :) Eventually your hard drive will crash or something else will happen, and you'll have to get a new computer; nothing lasts forever. As much as we dislike it, we sometimes must adapt to change. If you didn't adapt somewhat to the digital word, you wouldn't be using any computer. You wouldn't be seeing any warnings with an up to date computer. You just have a "thing" about all of this. Dude111 03-08-2026, 10:15 AM Ya it scares me buddy!! biffbronson 03-08-2026, 03:50 PM HP desktop. I had an Acer Chromebook but it died. |
