and it was absolutely amazing! She looked great and even remembered both of us from the last time we saw her almost half a year ago, which totally amazed me. She remembered our names and everything, and her speeches were just as wonderful as they were the first time. I can't even begin to tell you how much talent she has for what she does. This weekend was just as great, if not better, than the first. I just thought i'd share a little of it with you all.;)

She talked about how she met her husband. (a very funny story by the way), told some stories about her children and raising them, talked about how she is closer to Nancy because she lives so close to Lisa, and a lot of other stuff. I highly recommend you all hearing her speak. The woman can speak like no other. everytime I hear her I am totally speechless. She is AMAZING!

She met her husband at a prayer group and at first, she didnt think he was attractive and they were just friends. so long story short, they got to know eachother and I think it was during a church service or something that she had a thought pop into her head, "Would I ever consider marrying Steve Cauble?" and she laughed out loud but keep in mind this story is hilarious when she tells it. I can't do it justice. neways, a couple of days later she and Steve were somewhere together and he said "Lisa, can I ask you a question? Would you ever consider marrying me?" and she said "Funny you should mention that." lol eventually they thought they should go to their pastor to discuss them possibly getting married. they were'nt engaged at this point they were just thinking about getting married. so in a nutshell, the pastor got it all wrong, actually thought they were engaged, and told the whole congregation the news, Steve wasnt there so Lisa calls him, tells him what has happened, he says "yowzer bowzer" and shuts off the phone and the rest is history.lol I think the partial story is in her "Facts of Life" book which is wonderful by the way. and like I said, i can't do the story justice. I laugh my head off every time she tells it. She talked about her wedding ring in the story too and how Steve was going to get it in a mall probably. she said, "I don't wanna pull a Blair on you but I did not want a ring that came from the mall."LOL

I saw her this year and thought she was absolutely wonderful. Extremely down-to earth. In fact, after the speech, she gave my nine year old a big, genuine hug. The only part about the speech that was a bit uncomfortable to me came at the end. She asked everyone to be quiet. Then people would raise their hands, but not say a word. Then Lisa would say, "Yes, I hear that" and then she would say something like "I see that Jesus intends to use you as a mother-type figure". And then Lisa would say in a soft voice, "Now, please turn to the person next to you and tell them what you learned (or something to that effect). She may have said, "Tell them what you learned about Jesus". I can't remember exactly what she said, but I remember feeling a little weird. Other than that, I thought she was a very beautiful and special person, both inside and out.

thats awesome. when did u meet her this year?

I can't remember the exact date, but I know it was sometime this year. She talked about how she became a born-again Christian. She and her friend were bored (Lisa was 10 years old) so they went to this church down the street. Lisa laughed and said she kept going back because the church offered free donuts! And then, slowly, she became born-again. It was a wonderful speech until she sort of started acting like a psychic who was able to "hear" what the people were thinking and "hear" how Jesus was answering. It was a bit jarring. Her whole demeanor changed from friendly and fun to deeply serious, talking with a very quiet voice. Afterwards, during signature time, she was back to fun and personable.

she wasnt being "psychic" she was listening to God, Who, im sure, was revealing things to her!
