JulieSomoski 09-23-2008, 06:16 PM I'll have to give Living Single a try on TV One - I haven't watched it in a long time.
I love watching Amen in the early mornings when I get up - it's a great show to watch when you're eating/cooking breakfest-LOL. Good to see they're not moving that.

JulieSomoski 09-23-2008, 06:36 PM I forgot all about the marathon last night because of monday night football-lol
So did I - there's too much on television to turn to Living Single-LOL.

Ok I just saw that another marathon is starting in 7 min and it will be from 7pm to 12am. Where is the REMOTE????-lol

Oh, that I didn't know (did I miss it in the blog or something??). I'll probably watch now until 8, and maybe later again tonight! They're definitely exposing this show to their audience enough
Pavan 09-24-2008, 12:29 AM Living Single is a week long marathon. Stated months ago.
Scoobiedoo30 09-24-2008, 01:05 AM are they going to Re-broadcast The Living Single Reunion

a week long marathon with tons of edits-lol
Pavan 11-06-2008, 06:30 PM TV One will be adding THREE sitcoms at the end of December. One will from the 2000s and the other two are classics. No short lived stuff! Takes your guesses here (I want to see what you all guess) and I'll announce them sometime next week on the blog. No hints, sorry.
JulieSomoski 11-06-2008, 06:37 PM Classic has in how old? 70's? 80's? 90's?
For the 2000 one, that could be a few ones: My Wife and Kids, Bernie Mac Show, Girlfriends, and some others I can't think of right now.
Classic could be anything: I'd love for it to be The Jeffersons, but that's not an all black-show, so I think it has less a chance of coming to TV One.
Pavan 11-06-2008, 06:51 PM I am not giving any hints, but I think told you all the 2000s sitcom on the blog a few months back during the September highlights. So go check that out. As for the classics, that's all the hint I am giving until I announce.
As for "all black casts," just because there are white actors on a show doesn't mean anything. They have aired shows like Boston Public and A Man Called Hawk, and those have lots of white stars.
TVFactFan 11-06-2008, 07:22 PM 2000-nothing but a UPN show
Far as the classics one of them would have to be Sanford and Son or the Jeffersons
Scoobiedoo30 11-06-2008, 07:25 PM #1 For Your Love
#2 Benson
#3 Diff'rent Strokes
factsoflife 11-06-2008, 07:25 PM i hope the classic one is "Gimme A Break" but i doubt it will be. I'm guessing the 2000's one is "The Steve Harvey Show" or "My Wife & Kids"... i also wish we could see "The Hughleys" again.
As for classic I HOPE TO GOD IT IS MOESHA! i loved Moesha...
it can't be For Your Love because doesn't FYL already air in TV One?
Pavan 11-06-2008, 07:26 PM They already air The Hughleys and For Your Love.
Scoobiedoo30 11-06-2008, 07:30 PM Then I am really Stumped on the 2000 Show my friend
JulieSomoski 11-06-2008, 07:43 PM 2000-nothing but a UPN show

And isn't Sanford and Son expiring from TV Land in December? It could be that, although The Jeffersons would be my first choice. Gimme a Break would be another good choice.
As the 2000 show, it coudl be a UPN show, but I have my bets set on either My Wife and Kids or Bernie Mac.

I thought about GAB but then I wasn' sure if it was considered a classic.
Pavan 11-06-2008, 07:52 PM I announced the 2000s show already on the blog back in September. Go look it up before I announce the launch date, lol.
icecream 11-06-2008, 07:58 PM It's too bad the 2000s show isn't shortlived, then it could be Dag. (the best one season show ever)
TVFactFan 11-06-2008, 08:00 PM I tried looking but it was taking too long
factsoflife 11-06-2008, 10:37 PM Is one of them "South Centeral" because i saw that in a blog from September.
factsoflife 11-06-2008, 10:46 PM I'm really thinking that the 2000's show has got to be "My Wife & Kids" or "Girlfriends", or maybe "Everybody Hates Chris" (although isn't that coming to either FX or BET soon?)
as for classic shows i'm guessing it must be either South Centeral, Moesha or Gimme A Break.
you know what i'd love to see, "In Living Color" and "True Colors". I haven't seen ILC since it used to air on FX and i haven't seen TC since it's original run.

Moesha was a classic?
Pavan 11-07-2008, 12:41 AM LOL Moesha is not in the definition of a classic show. No, South Central is short lived and is not from the 2000s...it is 90s, and I already stated that TV One has delayed the launch of that to a later date.

Will I like the Classic Shows that are being added?
MusicJunkie 11-07-2008, 02:30 AM I'd like them to bring 227 back. That was the only show I ever watched on there

Well you never stated what decade the classic show was from so i just guessed that the 90's would also be included in classic shows as in a show not from this decade.
Pavan 11-07-2008, 02:35 PM Pre-90's is what I mean for the "classic" series.
TVFactFan 11-07-2008, 07:42 PM Pre-90's is what I mean for the "classic" series.
Will I like the Shows Pav?-lol
Pavan 11-07-2008, 07:44 PM I think 90% of the people here will, I'm sure. That's all I'm saying.
JulieSomoski 11-07-2008, 07:54 PM yeah, I tried looking through the blog, but it was taking too long to find-LOL.
I'm still thinking it has to be either My Wife and Kids, Girlfriends, or Bernie Mac.
As with the classic show, if 90% of the people will like it, then it was to be big. I'm thinking The Jeffersons and Sanford and Son right now. Or what about The Cosby Show or Diff'rent Strokes, or even 227 again? I'd love to see that make a return.
I'm just hoping to god it isn't something like Fresh Prince
Pavan 11-07-2008, 07:58 PM Click on the TV One label and you'll find the 2000s show that I mentioned in September highlights.
JulieSomoski 11-07-2008, 08:19 PM So, it looks like the 2000s sitcom is . . . Half and Half. Definitely could have been a better choice than that - but, it was a UPN show afterall.

Another Great announcement Pav, Half is Half is GREAT

I asked you will I like the classic shows not the other people on the board
Pavan 11-07-2008, 09:20 PM I'm not answering that. I said no other hints.

You just answered it by that reply, Thank you-lol

What do you think it is Solomon?
TVFactFan 11-08-2008, 03:30 PM What do you think it is Solomon?
Something from the 1972-1986 era that I like which is why pav won't answer me-lol
JulieSomoski 11-08-2008, 03:42 PM Something from the 1972-1986 era that I like which is why pav won't answer me-lol
Probably-LOL. I'd guess anything from the late 70s/80s - I'd love for it to be either The Jeffersons or Sanford and Son. They already have Good Times, so it would make a nice fit with either of those shows.
Pavan 11-10-2008, 03:34 PM I've announced all three today on the blog! Please read:
