icecream 07-30-2008, 03:22 PM It's great that Desperate Housewives is coming to weekdays, but I'd rather it switch places with Wife Swap.
Pavan 07-30-2008, 03:41 PM Desperate Housewives can only air one episode a day, though. The 8am airings are encores of the previous noon airings.
chris31989 07-30-2008, 04:57 PM What is the deal with Still Standing and Reba? Who wants to watch two shows with short original runs go through cycles 20 times a year?
ryan423 07-30-2008, 06:03 PM What is the deal with Still Standing and Reba? Who wants to watch two shows with short original runs go through cycles 20 times a year?
Umm...Reba was on for 6 seasons. That's considered a good run. Still Standing however, only had 4 seasons. Both shows bring in the ratings for the network or they wouldn't air them back to back and then back to back again. Although, being a Reba fan, I can honestly say I never watch the 6pm airings. I do watch the 8pm airings 3-4 times a week though.
JulieSomoski 08-01-2008, 05:48 PM I do agree, Still Standing and Reba both need some of their airings cut. Both air twice in 4 hours - and it's in good slots, too, which is way too much. I wish they could give Frasier a nice evening slot - it deserves better than morning and latenight.
thetornado 08-01-2008, 06:19 PM Isn't The Nanny coming to either Nick @ Nite or TV Land Fall 2009 still?
JulieSomoski 08-01-2008, 08:07 PM I believe it's coming to TV Land sometime in the future - it was supposed to come to NAN, but I don't think that's happening anymore.
Eh. They should drop "Wife Swap," and an hour each of "Reba" and "Still Standing" and make that more movie time.
icecream 08-01-2008, 11:08 PM Using the same lineup this is how I would have preferred the schedule to look.
8:00 AM Desperate Housewives
9:00 AM The Golden Girls
9:30 AM The Golden Girls
10:00 AM Will & Grace
10:30 AM Will & Grace

1:00 AM The Golden Girls

icecream 08-01-2008, 11:11 PM Eh. They should drop "Wife Swap," and an hour each of "Reba" and "Still Standing" and make that more movie time. They air tons of movies on weekends. Four movies every weekday would be overkill.
Pavan 08-01-2008, 11:34 PM The Nanny is listed to come to Nick at Nite in April 2009, and TV Land in 2010.
ryan423 08-01-2008, 11:53 PM The Nanny is listed to come to Nick at Nite in April 2009, and TV Land in 2010.
So are The Nanny and Everybody Hates Chris the only 2 coming in 2009 to N@N as far as you know?
ryan423 08-01-2008, 11:54 PM Using the same lineup this is how I would have preferred the schedule to look.

12:00 AM Will & Grace
12:30 AM Will & Grace
1:00 AM The Golden Girls
1:30 AM The Golden Girls
2:00 AM The Nanny
I would love Reba and Fraiser one after the other. Still Standing needs to go, lol.
Pavan 08-01-2008, 11:55 PM Well, The Nanny might not be even used on NAN until its TV Land premiere. If it is, I bet NAN stuffs it to late night. As far as other reruns, that is all that is announced as of now, but they do have the animated sitcom coming in summer 2009.
ryan423 08-02-2008, 12:01 AM Well, The Nanny might not be even used on NAN until its TV Land premiere. If it is, I bet NAN stuffs it to late night. As far as other reruns, that is all that is announced as of now, but they do have the animated sitcom coming in summer 2009.
And just when I thought N@N was on the verge of being great again...lol.
I'm curious to why they bought the rights to Everybody Hates Chris when its ratings are so poor. I'm guessing it was part of a huge deal and the CW will end it after May of 2009. I truely hate it with a passion, and its funny cause I like Chris Rock but hate the show.
Pav, wouldn't it be awesome if N@N was dedicated to old 90's and 80's TGIF Shows? (Family Matters, Boy Meets World, etc) and a few newer ones like George Lopez? I bet you the network would be doing even better like that. It sucks Boy Meets World is without a distributor now ever since Buena Vista lost its rights to the show August 31st of last year.
I'd love N@N to be like;
8:30pm - Blossom
9pm - Boy Meets World
10pm - George Lopez
11pm - Family Matters
12am - The Fresh Prince
12:30am - Blossom
1am - Roseane
2am - George Lopez
3am - Boy Meets World
4am - Blossom
5am - Family Matters
Pavan 08-02-2008, 01:10 AM Blossom has no chance. Hell will freeze over before that would air, I bet. Big time syndicated dud. The perfect show would be Step by Step. Boy Meets World would do good, too, but only after Nickelodeon.
I think Chris could be a surprise hit. Especially at 8:30.
ryan423 08-02-2008, 01:28 AM I think Chris could be a surprise hit. Especially at 8:30.
That's what I was thinking. Or, putting it on after G.LO would give it a good lead in;)
MikeLutton 08-02-2008, 03:28 AM what shows be good for nan surprised married with children not on there that what i shocked about.or golden girls family matters my fav show on there
JulieSomoski 08-02-2008, 06:36 PM Usually, shows that did well on Lifetime do poorly on Nick at Nite. Examples: Mad About You and Designing Women. Both were huge duds on NAN, but semi-successful on TV Land. The Nanny will be exactly the same, even though I'm hoping it to do well.
I think Nick at Nite should pick up Step by Step and Boy Meets World immediately, as long as George Lopez and Family Matters continue to do well. SBS and BMW would do huge with those 2 shows - all 5 blend in with each other so well. I'd just love to see a schedule of these 5 from 9pm-2am. I wouldn't watch anything else ever again-LOL
And as long as we're on NAN, I think NAN believes it will be similar to George Lopez - not as successful in original airings, but great ratings in repeats.

Wonder what Lifetime will do come February when the Golden Girls leaves?
Smallscreen 08-07-2008, 12:01 PM I don't enjoy "Desperate Housewives". Sometimes I think I am the only one.
There are many shows I never knew until LifetimeTV. Shows like "Still Standing" weren't reruns to me. I never watched "Reba" or "The Nanny" until LifetimeTV showed them.
Pavan 08-25-2008, 01:58 PM October updates for Lifetime includes original sitcom Rita Rocks:

MusicJunkie 10-11-2008, 12:42 AM DH needs to come on later than noon, daily reruns would be fun for it, but at a time people might be home
Scoobiedoo30 10-11-2008, 12:45 AM How Late Desperate Housewives should come on
MusicJunkie 10-11-2008, 12:50 AM How Late Desperate Housewives should come on
I think early evening would be nice, or maybe around 11 pm or so.
icecream 10-11-2008, 10:54 AM Does this mean Desperate Housewives will now air two episodes a day, or will the noon airing be an encore of the previous day's 1PM airing?
Pavan 10-11-2008, 11:42 AM Two episodes a day now for DH.
JulieSomoski 10-11-2008, 05:36 PM That's kind of a random change-LOL. I guess they wanted to air 2 episode of DH back-to-back, which means it's doing well?? They should air it in primetime - it seems like a natural fit there.
dakert 10-11-2008, 10:20 PM Just my opinion but TV Stations Blow--I would never let myself be Suckered by another one!!!!!
