Well, I finally got to see the BET version of Bicycle Man today (they did a last minute schedule change the first time they aired it and many of us missed it). Anyway, I noticed that the editing of this 2-part episode was different than the version they showed on the DS TV Land marathon several years ago. First of all, the BET version was missing the prologue "warning" by Conrad Bain. Secondly, the commercial breaks were in different places. Also, there were lines in the BET version that I don't remember from the TV Land version. And vice versa (for example, the BET version cut out much of the scene where Mr. D came into the shop alone to pay for Arnold's bike in advance). In the TV Land version, Horton was acting nervous and distracted and Drummond commented on it.

Strange. Previously all the BET edits were the exact same as I had seen on Nick at Nite and TV Land a few years ago. But that wasn't the case with this episode.

I distinctly remember Conrad Bain's intro from either the TVL or NIK version, as well. They may have had the network version, and this was edited out of the syndication print.

I still am not able to understand why the episodes should be cut just for keeping a 30 minute space, including commercial breaks.
In Italy the episodes are all complete (excluding 4-5 episodes, aired in syndicated 22 minute version). The Bycicle Man is also complete, for example. But, of course, they're all dubbed in italian.

If someone is interested I can provide the complete version of Bicycle Man in english.
