Mario Lopez -- the Saved by the Bell alum who's enjoyed a career resurgence thanks to stints on Nip/Tuck and Dancing With the Stars -- will take over as host of the weekday syndicated show Extra beginning Sept. 15. Lopez had been serving as a correspondent and co-host for Extra's weekend edition since January 2007. Extra co-host Dayna Devon will become a special correspondent, and Mark McGrath will go back to making music with Sugar Ray, which is expected to release another album in early 2009. Extra begins its 15th season this fall.

I am glad that Mario Lopez will be on The weeknight edition of Extra.

Sugar Ray better come out with some Hot music. He blew it with me when he appeared on Extra. I said to myself...... WHAT?/??/? :eek: His voice even sounded funny.

I'm gunning for Mario. He should do good.
