What do you guys think will be Price's undoing? With the changes that Fremantle want to make I fear Drew will be the scapegoat and get all the blame for the changes. It's long been my belief that Fremantle want to make the changes to get the ratings for Price to go up instead of down. What are you guys thoughts?

I think as long as the show stays the same with no radical changes to the game play such as eliminating the big wheel or cutting the amount of games played, if none of that happens I think the show will continue well into the next decade... Fremantle is chomping at the bit to change things, but again (at least for now) cooler heads prevailed.
Fingers is in control of the show now & she is the absolute perfect replacement for Roger, because she gets it, she totally gets it.
Another thing that can't be overlooked is the show is a huge money maker for cbs & fremantle & as long as the advertisers are there & the show makes money there is no reason to get rid of it.
As far as Drew Carey goes, I was told last year that he signed a five year deal, but I recently heard some news indicating that it was a 2 year deal with yearly options after that, so That could be interesting. Drew needs to hold the current audience of the show & the ratings can't slip any more than the 18.3 % it slipped this year.

Like you said previously, the ratings were growing back by the end of the season, so as long as they either stay where they're at or continue to grow, I think things will be fine. That 18.3% dip pretty much occurred because of the low ratings period early on in the season, also like you mentioned.

Drew is going to have to really step up to the plate to keep Price's ratings up. But I won't be surprised if they keep going down. Price is losing to the View and that's not a good thing. The show is fading slower and slower. In fact the first few tapings of Season 37 a lot of stuff was going wrong and Drew got angry off-camera and he heckled the newly painted Purple Big Wheel several times on the air and I don't think Price has another decade of life left in it.

you are correct Julie. The ratings can't slip much further or else things could get bad. I personally think the show will maintain its current audience & things will proceed. but that all depends on what fremantle does

There was a huge huge game playing mistake too during the first tapings, so the post roger era is not getting off to a good start, fingers will be fine, but she needs to remember, its her baby now, she is the big cheese, the head honcho.
