I found a commercial for UM's first episode. It showed quick flashes from the Gulf Breeze, D.B. Cooper and Son of Sam stories while Dark's voiceover tells us to tune in on October 5th for the premiere. Kinda neat.

Nice. I loved the UM commercials back in the day. Almost like teasers, short and succinct. I credit Unsolved Mysteries, punk rock, art and comic books (in that specific order!) for surviving my tumultuous years in high school. :D

I remember the commercials quite well as they were the genesis of my fascination with the show. I was quite young when UM debuted, and it was on past my bedtime so the commercials were all I had to go by. I tried to imagine what the show/cases were about. The one time I did watch, I had nightmares so mom wouldn't let me watch UM again. The fact that it was "forbidden" then added to the mystique too I suppose.
