Dustin Diamond, who played perma-teen Screech on Saved by the Bell and its spin-offs until he was in his mid-twenties, is writing a tell-all tattler about the show.

Called Behind the Bell, Diamond's ghost-written tome will reveal behind-the-scenes tidbits about his fellow Bellers, including "sexual escapades among cast members, drug use and hardcore partying," according to an article in New York magazine.

Let's face it, all of the SBTB alums have had pretty good success after the show went off the air, with the exception of him. This just sounds like desperation on his part.

I agree. ;) I don't think the others had to resort to selling t-shirts to pay for a house they had no business buying if they couldn't afford it to begin with. :rolleyes: He mis-managed whatever money he earned or didn't invest it wisely and now he has to resort to now talking trash (true or not) abt his fellow cast members.

I used to fell sorry for Screech, thinking Lisa was a snob. Dustin has said in earlier interviews, that the cast pretty much acted like their characters off screen.....meaning he was shunned and left out of things. I figure now he is really going for payback and gonna make a buck at it. Sad :rolleyes:

I think, like you guys said, he's just bitter that he wasn't as successful as his SBTB peers post-SBTB.

Wow, he must really be desperate for money! I know others have written books about their celeb fame and so forth, but isn't this the same Dustin Diamond who advertised on his website, trying to get people to send him money? Now that's just sad! Anyone who would send a celeb money knowing that the celeb is going to use it for his/her own benefit (because they screwed up and blew all the money they had made while making the movie/TV show/whatever) is an idiot! I never saw him Celebrity Fitness, but when I heard about that last act, I lost all respect for him. Never really cared for him on the show either.

I agree, he's a dumb@$$. He was disrespectful and his behavior was uncalled for, on Celebrity Fit Club with Harvey Waldon and the other cast members. He's just a bum.

You know, playing Screech was probably harder to get over typecasting rather than the other castmembers. But it didn't help that he continued playing Screech until the end of "The New Class" in 2000.

Funny thing, he's a stand up comic, yet he probably can't stand up for 2 seconds, being how fat he is now....

Seriously(spelling) Why are you all so mad and uptight about Dustin Diamond anyway?

Let the guy alone and let him do his thing. He doesn't come and tell you what you can and can't do or if your hard up for money, or whatever.

I think that people are mad because he pulls these ridiculous stunts that he pulls and offensive things that he says. I shake my head when it comes to this man from time to time.

Hmm- interesting. Well, I still like Screech and all of the gang on Saved By the Bell. But unfortunately, the real life actors and actresses aren't always necessarily just like the people they play on TV. I don't watch reality shows (because they're mostly junk) so I don't know what went down on Celebrity Fit Club and I frankly don't care. I think it's hard to say how much of those kinds of show are truly scripted or not. It doesn't matter. I'm not saying Dustin Diamond has done everything right because he's obviously had failings just as much as anyone else.
But I also think it's very easy to judge someone from afar that you don't even know. I've never met the guy and I don't know what all is going on with him. So he's writing a book. Good for him- he's allowed to. I would hope he wouldn't just be lashing out at his former coworkers from Saved By the Bell, but who knows until the book actually comes out?
You don't have to like him or everything he does, but I do think we should stop the hating on him and just try loving on him- because God loves everyone and we ought to love Him and everyone else too.:)

Mark-Paul was interviewed by the L.A. Times a few weeks ago and he brought up Screech's planned tell-all. He said he was looking forward to it. :D

I swear, this guy just wont go away. He's popping from one reality show to another. I believe he's on a new show pretty soon with Hulk Hogan. When will this misery end? If you see a falling star one night you know what to wish for.

I think this is so sad. Screech used to be my favourite character, back when I'd watch the show. I guess it's a good thing I really wasn't into the actors, back then. It sounds like Dustin Diamond maybe isn't such a nice guy. I used to feel so bad for Screech, whenever he was being shunned by Lisa.
