I read the "you were excited about and then disappointed after they aired" thread, and I'd like to look at the opposite viewpoint.

Can you recalls shows you weren't interested in, but watched it and grew to love it?

I didn't think much of 'Step By Step' when I heard about the plot.

One look at Angela Watson, though, changed all that.

"HOGANS HEROES"

I remember when it was on in the 60s on saturday nights, I didn't like it. I thought it was stupid, and boring. But then I started watching reruns of it on a local station in the 70s, and grew to like it.

Mythbusters (found it dull the first time, become hooked on it since)
King of the Hill (At first i didnt like the RW/redneck characters , until i realised they were being heavilly lampooned, now i love it)
Married with Children (I didnt really watch it regularly until the Florida vacation ep, in season 2, that hooked me!)

NewsRadio- I remember watching one of the first few episodes and it didn't interest me. I caught an episode a year later. It was the one where Jimmy lost Bill in a poker game. I thought it was hysterical and I was hooked ever since.

Futurama- I never watched it during it's origional run, but I started watching it a couple of years ago in syndication and found it funny.

American Idol- I had absolutely zero interest at first, but after I became a fan of Carrie Underwood, I slowly started watching and now I'm hopelessly hooked.

For me its Cheers. When it was first on, even though I didnt watch it regularly, I wasnt a fan. When I started to catch it in reruns I fell in love with and its now in my top 10 all time favorite shows, go figure.

Frasier-When I lived with my mom she watched this show religiously but I didn't pay much attention. In fact, I hated it! I would watch it with her when it was on but it did nothing for me. She asked me why I didn't like it and I told her that I didn't find a show about a psychiatrist funny. I thought it was boring. But a few months ago I was watching TV, and there was nothing on. I saw Frasier was airing so I decided to go ahead and watch it, no big deal. I was fiddling around on my computer and watching Frasier at the same time, I do that a lot with shows I don't care much for. Anyway, I was sitting there watching it, bored out of my mind when suddenly out of nowhere, an episode caught my eye and I found it funny and entertaining. I thought to myself, "How could I have found this show boring? It's great!"
One thing led to another and I started watching the show every night. I couldn't miss an episode. I started recording them on my DVR and now I have almost every episode saved. The more I started getting into the show the more I realized how much I loved the characters of Niles and Daphne and was hoping they would get together. Much to my surprise they did and I was so happy!
Now Frasier is my favorite show and Niles and Daphne are my favorite characters and sitcom couple.
Funny how quickly things can change. :D
I find the show funny, witty, entertaining and just a classic work of art. I just love it. :D

It's the original "Hawaii Five-O" for me. I didn't pay much attention to it when it was on in syndication when I was younger. Then in 2007, my mother got me the first release of it; I put it in, looked at the pilot, and from then forward, I was in it hook, line and sinker.
