They screwed up the Bewitched movie of course but, who could they have gotten instead of Wil Farrell? I've got a thought about that one, LOL.
Since Jim Carrey didn't want to do the movie, they could have went with either.......................
David Hyde Pierce
Neil Patrick Harris
Do you think they would have made a better Darrin? They both kind of remind me of the late Dick Sargent, what do you all think?
I guess either one of those would work, it's just hard to think of anyone else playing Darrin.

They certainly did screw up the Bewitched movie.... These people need to heed what has worked and what has not. IMHO the reason such remakes as Get Smart and the Brady Bunch movies worked is because they did not stray to far from the farm so to speak. I think they should try to remake the shows as close to the originals as possible and sort of make it like an extended extra episode if they had continued making the series. The fans want more of what they liked, not total overhauls that look nothing like the old series they loved... just my opinion but it seems to validated with the remake movies that have worked and the ones that have not.
On someone else playing Darrin, I can't think of anyone right now who would make a good Darrin. I'm going to give that some thought and i'll get back.. :)

I think there were some good ideas, but the execution was lousy.

That was doomed to fail, right from the get go. When will Hollywood learn that making movies out of good TV shows, only makes an awful film. Doing Bewitched was blasphemy. Will Farrell are you kidding me?????
I cant stand that man, nothing funny about him.
Glad it tanked.

I do think that casting Steve Carell as the ghost of Uncle Arthur was GENIUS. Steve Carell did a dead-on impersonation of Paul Lynde. I loved that part!!

That's why I think it could have done better, had they used someone other than Wil Farrell. I would have chosen either David Hyde Pierce or Neil Patrick Harris instead.

The TV-show-within-a-movie plot got very confusing. I expected more out of Nora Ephron, who wrote one of my favorite movies of all time, When Harry Met Sally. :( Oh well...
