for Mike Evans decreased role, from look at the number of eps everyone appeared in below, it seemed to be Paul Benedict, Roxie Roker, and Franklin Cover who were gettting just as many lines at Mike Evans during season 1

Paul Benedict, Zara Cully, and Mike Evans all appeared in 11 of 13 episodes

Roxie Roker and Franklin Cover both appeared in 9 of 13 episodes.


So you can see how he probably felt that he was supposed to be in all the eps along with his TV mom and Dad



The supporting cast member who had the smallest Role during season 1 was............JENNY, Only appeared in 5 of the 13 episodes.



So Brieanna was right, it wasn't just Zara Cully, it was the other suppurting characters too.
