Hi kids.
Just wanted to call your attention to two Mary Tyler Moore Show blooper reels I discovered on Youtube recently (actually, it may be one blooper reel cut into two sections).
If you go to Youtube and type in "Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "bloopers" in the search box, the first two entries are the ones you'll want to watch, and they're fantastic.
My favorite on the first reel is when Ted brings the hat box into the newsroom, and he, Mary, and Gavin can't stop laughing. Some technical difficulties add to the hilarity.
On the second one, there's a classic in which Betty White teases Mary for blowing a line. Check it out, I highly recommend them (sorry if these have already been noted somewhere else)!
Interestingly, these appear to have been posted at the end of June by an "masner", which i'm guessing is Matthew Asner, son of Ed and one of the guys involved in the extras on the first two seasons of DVDs. Kudos to Matt for posting if it is him.
What I'm wondering, though, is if the fact that the blooper reels are now out there is a good thing for a possible Season 5 or a bad thing. You could look at it that since they are done and available, they could easily be patched on to the end of a Season 5 (or 6 or 7) release. But you could also look at it like if there's not going to be a Season 5 for a while, Matt just may have wanted to post them.
Either way, you've gotta check out the bloopers!
