I was watching episode "Fred Meets Redd" on DVD season 6 and I just wanted to applaude Fred for finally telling Lamont at the 13:34 mark on the DVD, "Now you stop arguing with me, and talking back to me, I'm tired of that stuff, give me some respect!" I just wish he'd told Lamont that in season 1. But then, afterwards, Fred ended up apoligizing, and he shouldn't have. Everytime Lamont backtalked Fred, Fred didn't get any apology. I love that line because Fred should have not only told Lamont that, but should have put a foot up his no personality ass! I had to play that line over and over because it went unnoticed by Sanford and Son fans.

For another great moment where Fred puts Lamont in his place, pull out the third season episode titled "Superflyer." Right after Fred tries to give away those "chicken wings", Lamont tells him to behave himself. Fred fires back, "You ain't my daddy, I'm your daddy." Fred was just about to tell Lamont that he was going to put his foot in his #%*!, when he got cut off.
This part is usually edited on sitcom television.

To finish what Fred told Lamont in that episode, "You don't tell me what to do!"

The African chick in "Lamont Goes African" also put Lamont in his place because she told him it wasn't his place to chastise his father. She didn't like how Lamont was talking to Fred.

Yea, I remember that. She really dogged Lamont on that monologue. The first time I saw this I was about ten years old. By the time she was finished, hell I felt ashamed.

I just watched this on (AGAIN) last night. I love the part part where Lamont say's "Pop, what are you doin'?" and Fred say's "I'm gettin' rid of the pig!"
