Your #1 is the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread, Monika. :) Great minds really do think alike, huh? I would also have to add (though I would have to see it again to get specific) the entire "Over the River and Through the Woods" ep, b/c just about everybody had a classic moment there!

^ I always thought someone should air "Over the River & Through the Woods" back to back on Thanksgiving Day with WKRP's "Turkeys Away" - both classics!!! :rofl: There is great commentary by Bob Newhart, Jack Riley and director James Burrows on that episode in the 4th season DVD set. :rofl:

It's OK. I have seasons 2-4...I wasn't that crazy about the first season. Here's another classic Howard moment...from the Season 4 episode "The Heavyweights". Bob goes out to try to fix the balcony door and Emily ends up closing the door to answer Howard's knock. Bob just stands there. This happens a second time, so Howard just opens up the glass door and instead of letting Bob in, he just stands outside with Bob!! :rofl: Classic!

I guess I have some different ones - but I do LOVE this thread!

An American Family - Howard, in helping Emily with the cleaning, climbs up onto the Hartley kitchen counter and reaches across to the refrigerator while wearing oven mitts, to keep his fingerprints off the fridge and get the item in question into the fridge.

ExCon Job - holding up the wall, thinking it's going to fall down. BTW, this is Bill Daily's personal favorite episode.

Over the River and Through the Wood - love this episode for lots of reasons.

A Love Story - though there was never any chemistry between Bill Daily and Pat Finley, I absolutely loved it when Howard chose to kiss Ellen while IRONING. Classic Howard.

And the card trick. Definitely, the card trick! That's Bill's flair for broad comedy there -

^ Those are all great choices, Donna! :D What was the episode where Howard is fascinated with the mail chute at Bob's office? That's a good one, too. Every time Howard and Jerry got into a fight (about everything from women to Christmas tree trimming) was classic. :rofl:

I forgot to include Howard getting "swacked" on the eggnog with root beer (Season 3, "Home Is Where the Hurt Is"). :rofl:

How about when he went into the bathroom with Carol to talk to her, and then Emily, Bob and Jerry all ended up in there with them? (Season 1, "Bob and Emily and Howard and Carol and Jerry" - episode 12).

Who could resist this face? :D
