Move over Apple, there's a new foodie baby name in town! Last week, General Hospital star Ingo Rademacher and his fiancée, Ehiku, welcomed their son Peanut Kai.

"We were calling him that when he was in mommy," Rademacher told PEOPLE about the unusual name, which was first reported by Soap Opera Digest. "It kind of represented joy and happiness to us. It puts a smile on everyone's face."

That explains the Peanut part of the name. As for "Kai," it's Hawaiian for "water," according to Rademacher. Baby Peanut is one quarter Hawaiian on his mother's side. The couple plans to marry in Hawaii next year.

Rademacher, who plays Jax on the popular ABC soap, delivered the baby during a home birth in Malibu on July 11. "We were set on home birth right away," he said. "A hospital was not a place we wanted to be." A midwife was also present at the birth.

So....

The kid's name is Peanut Water.

Probably gonna call him "pea" for short, right?

Yeah...

Why don't you just save every kid he's going to encounter for the next ten to fifteen years the trouble and start kicking his ass now?

;)

Some people shouldn't be allowed to breed. I mean seriously, Peanut?!? The next generation of people will all have weird names like that. I suppose at some point those names will be normal and then a few generations down the line, someone will name their son George and everyone will say "That's a crazy name!"

The circle of names.

Peanut is a perfectly acceptable name for a chihuahua but not for a child, This definitely tops them all among stupid celebrity child names.

I would demand that people call me Kai instead. Because no one should be called "Peanut" unless your friends names are Sally, Linus, Lucy and Charlie Brown!

...peanut?! they couldn't use that as a nickname & give him a more normal legal name?
congrats to them, but that has got to be one of the worst names i've heard in a while.

Imagine if that kid develops a food allergy to...*drum roll*..........PEANUTS???

Seriously, they can name their kid what they want, I don't care, doesn't bother me, but don't come crying to the media in 10 years when kids are being cruel, calling him names, blah blah blah.

If anagrams are any indication then this kid is headed for trouble.

That's how I feel too. Peanut is a lot better than some of the so-called normal names out there (I'd NEVER EVER want to be a Walter or George or Frederick or Milton, even though those are older names, you get my meaning), so I really don't feel that people should frown upon what other decide to name their child. When the kid is older, if they want to, they can all decide to change it, so it's really not a big deal. It's all subjective.

Why couldn't they have given him a normal name and then just made Peanut his nickname? Can you imagine a doctor or lawyer with the name Peanut? I can't believe how stupid some parents are.

Well the kid could pull a Miley Cyrus and change his name when he gets older. Sounds like Ingo got hit on the head one too many times with the kayak paddle. Don't know what mama's excuse is. I read on some board that they could call the kid pea water:lol: (short for peanut and Kai meaning water).
