Does anyone know what street (Brooklyn, NY) they show in the opening credits for Welcome Back Kotter? The one where trains(?) are crossing overhead (bridge)? Thanks, in advance. This is boggling my mind.

It would be hard to tell today, as most of the businesses or landmarks would be different or gone today.. BTW, there was a little shop in the opening credits (or closing credits; can't exactly remember); I always thought the storefront said "porn". It wasn't until years later (must be better quality TVs than back in the 70's) that I realized it said "pork"! TVFactFan 08-10-2008, 09:48 PM Someone on the board who grew up in NYC may know the answer. I'm sure that school is still there in Brooklyn Maybe some of the stores are gone James28 11-30-2009, 01:45 AM There were two different versions of the Koter opening credits. The first version was used from 1975-1978. There was another version which had a shot of the World Trade Center towers which was used during the fourth season.
