It was a detective show that ran from approx. 1958 to 1962. Interesting 30 minute format instead of the normal hour. Very cool and laid back show with jazz music from Henry Mancini. I just purchased DVD sets 1 and 2 from ebay and am really enjoying them. :D

Continuing my recent habit of finding old threads and resurrecting them. I've been watching this on the Retro TV network. I agree that it's very interesting to see a crime drama in a 30 minute format. And the jazz music score is wonderful. It's like watching a mini-noir film. Another show that Retro TV shows (this one only on Sundays) with the same 30 minute format is Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer with Darren McGavin. I believe this was originally broadcast about the same time as Peter Gunn. I've been enjoying this one even more than Peter Gunn. McGavin is fantastic as Mike Hammer. Very surprised that I had never heard of this show before.
