I can't believe USA took "Get a Life" out of their "Laughternoon" lineup. I tried writing them an e-mail, and all I got back was a fabricated response basically telling me that they are too busy to read or care about my e-mail. Makes me wonder why they even put e-mail addies on their website. I'm pretty sure that they didn't even bother to show a couple of episodes, like "S.P.E.W.E.Y (Special Person Entering the World, Egg Yolks) and Me", "1977 2000" and "The Clip Show". Anyways, if there are any other Get a Life fans out there, I found a pretty interesting site that provided complete scripts for almost every episode. They're an interesting read:

I also have tried to contact USA about GAL and have gotten the we-don't-care-but-thanks-for-writing message. Though maybe I got that response because I can't not write that most of the sitcoms in their daytime line-up suck. But I think it's mostly they don't care and want to give the excuse that they're swamped with so much e-mail they can't write you a response.

Here's hoping another cable network where GAL may fit better (Comedy Central) picks it up.

"Leather jackets, switchblades, bad nicknames... Why, you're ruffians!" Chris Peterson, after meeting up with a gang.

"I'm a lonely wildebeast. But I'm happy. You know why? Because my shoes, they have wheels!" Chris as the wildebeast in "Zoo Animals on Wheels."

I actually ended up buying all 36 episodes off of ebay, since USA didn't bother to show all of the episodes, and it was well worth the money IMO.

I'd have to say Zoo Animals on Wheels was the best episode of the series. The part where an audience member mouths out "What the hell?", put me in a laughing fit that lasted a couple of minutes. This is coming from a person who ussually doesn't sit in front of the tube and LOL at every single lame joke that the writers will plug into a show. Hell, I love Seinfeld, but I probably only laughed out four or five times during the show's entire run.

Zoo Animals on Wheels represents the beauty of this show. Bob Elliot's wise cracks during the play were funny as hell. "Can you clear something up for me, is he a giraffe?" And the audience members reactions to the play were priceless. No cheesy, sappy moments were needed to make this show funny. You could watch this show, laugh at Chris' stupidity, without having to sympathize with his misfortune.

Does that mean you have "Fatso 2000", the episode that has never aired?

I got the two VHS volumes Rhino put out. 4 episodes: The Prettiest Week of My Life, Bored Straight, Spewey and Me, and Girlfriend 2000. Last week, I e-mailed Rhino a list of episodes that would be good for volume 3: Fatso 2000, Zoo Animals on Wheels, Dadicus, Terror on the Hell Loop 2000, Paperboy 2000, and Meat Locker 2000. Of course any episodes would be good.

No, I do not have Fatso 2000. In fact, I never knew it even existed before I read your description of it in another thread. The collection of episodes that I have were taped off Fox during its original run, so it does not include that episode. It does, however, include the unaired pilot, where the mother is played by a different actress, otherwise, it is exactly the same as the aired pilot. Is it possible to obtain a copy of Fatso 2000? Also, why was this episode not aired? Was it an episode from the 1st or 2nd season?

I don't know for sure, but I think "Fatso 2000" was a 2nd season episode. I'm assuming it never aired because it may have been the last episode produced and FOX probably pulled the show completely after the clip show. Of course, if USA had run all the episodes, it wouldn't be lost anymore.

The website where I got the description is: (http://www.nyx.net/.~dnadams/gal.html). The website has 2 pictures from the episode, so there is proof that this episode exists.

Yesterday, I got on ebay and I bought all 36 other episodes. So I just want to thank you for giving me the idea do that.
