In an effort to give positive incentive for his young cousin to remain at school and study hard, Fonzie offers the boy a part-time job in his garage while Richie arranges for his sister Joanie to tutor him. Unfortunately, their plan backfires when Chachi decides to cheat on an exam by tricking the answers out of Joanie. He is ultimately caught and suspended from school, thus finding himself in more hot water with an enraged Fonzie. He debuted, was in a few episodes and then disappeared and then reappeared when Fonzie thought he was allergic to girls. Am I wrong or was Chacai in most of the episodes before he left the show? He was in 21 of the 27 episode of season five. Then, he was absent for the first half of season six but came back for the second half and remained until he and Erin Moran left for Joanie Loves Chachi after season nine. He guest-starred in six of the 22 episodes of season 10 before returning for good in season 11. thebabymysweet 11-21-2011, 10:54 PM Here was the second one: OUR GANG ( Telecast Date: February 21, 1978 ) Chachi arrives at Arnold's diner in a Lords gang jacket, prompting Richie to narrate the story of how a clean-cut teenager like him originally met the cool hipster Fonzie when he was then the leader of a rough motorbike group known as The Falcons in order to teach the young boy the reason why joining any street gang is a bad mistake. ( "Happy Days: The Chachi Episodes - Season 5" @ The Scott Baio Fan Blog, scottbaio.wordpress.com ) old grouch 11-22-2011, 10:10 AM Scott Baio and Lynda Goodfriend were regulars on 'Who's Watching the Kids' in the fall of 1978. When that show failed, they both returned to 'Happy Days'. thebabymysweet 03-18-2012, 10:22 PM Here was the third one: CHACHI'S INCREDO-WAX ( Telecast Date: May 8, 1979 ) Chachi, needing extra money, is tricked by a con man into buying and selling Incredo-Wax, a miracle product that will shine anything. Unfortunately, the wax spray also causes disastrous side effects and ruins everything it touches including Al's tables, Potsie's hair and worst of all, Fonzie's motorbike saddle. The gang plots to get even with the fraudster. One of the episodes has Chachi planning to go on the road with the Beach Boys (!), but being left on the curb after being diagnosed with Diabetes(?). thebabymysweet 03-29-2012, 09:41 PM The Beach Boys storyline previously mentioned by visaman666 was entitled "Good News, Bad News" and had been originally telecast on July 19, 1984 as one of the very last episodes of the beloved Happy Days series. Anyway, here was the fourth one: CHACHI SELLS HIS SOUL ( Telecast Date: September 18, 1979 ) Chachi foolishly sells his soul for popularity to the devil's nephew Melvin Scratch because he's lonely and eagerly wants to be treated more like a sophisticated adult rather than just a dumb kid. In order to get his young cousin out of this diabolical arrangement, Fonzie has to step in and cleverly outwit Melvin by going twenty-four hours without receiving a kiss from a girl. One of the episodes has Chachi planning to go on the road with the Beach Boys (!), but being left on the curb after being diagnosed with Diabetes(?). That to me is kind of a lost episode because if you noticed they never show it. I dont know if ME-TV does, but I know The Hub doesnt. I actually did tape the episode off of TV Land back in I think, 2002 when they were airing Happy Days in the afternoon. thebabymysweet 02-24-2013, 09:44 PM Here was the sixth one: FOOLS RUSH IN ( Telecast Date : February 26, 1980 ) Chachi and Joanie are experiencing communication problems wherein she thinks he is losing interest in her and he feels that she is not taking him seriously. Upon the friendly advice of Lori Beth, she invites him over for dinner on the very night that she also has to babysit Potsie's younger cousins while he secretly plans to make a serious romantic move with her. I mean she didnt even give him the time of day before and all of a sudden, she liked him. thebabymysweet 08-04-2013, 10:06 PM Here was the seventh one: NO TELL MOTEL ( Telecast Date : November 11, 1980 ) Chachi and Joanie sneak off without permission to a Beach Boys concert in Chicago despite the concerns of her father Howard that his daughter may be seeing way too much of the boy lately, even offering the girl her own phone if she stops dating him for two weeks. But as a result of their secret trip, the young couple find themselves having to stay together overnight at a motel's honeymoon suite because it is the only room left that evening.
