There is an episode of Happy Days where this guy has a grudge with Fonzie from junior high and decides he wants to fight. It's one of the "newer" episodes where Al's/Arnold's has been completely redone (personally I liked the original malt shop set better). I about died when I realized that the guy (who was supposedly really good at karate) was none other than Tom Hanks! That was a great episode. I wish I had seen the whole thing!

Thanks for the clip. That is so hilarious! Tom Hanks is one of my all-time favorite actors! I know he was in Apollo 13, directed by Ron Howard, but has he ever been in anything Henry Winkler directed?

Shortly after his HD Appearance, he was in "Splash" ... and these Days he has been in "The DaVinci Code" and will be in "Angels and Demons" now ... so there's more Work of the Two :D

I always have liked that episode too and thought Tom did a good job playing that Duane fellow. I wondered if Tom performed his own stunts. I bet he did.

Did you know when the cast was having their softball tournaments throughout the mid '70s-early '80s, that celebrity guests who appeared on the show such as Tom Hanks, Robin Williams and others would join the cast on some occasions to play softball with them?

And, Tom Hanks' future wife, Rita Wilson appeared in two HD episodes- 'Where the Guys Are' ' and 'A Woman Not Under the Influence'

Also Tom Hanks' bosom buddy(Peter Scolari) from 'Bosom Buddies' was in the HD episode- 'May the Best Man Win'
