I have hesitated to purchase the DVD's simply because I am not sure if they are worth the purchase. Are there many edits that take away from the stories featured? What can anyone tell me abt each set to help me decide? Thank you.

I don't have them myself, but there are some pretty decent and detailed reviews on Amazon - a couple actually break down what segments are on each set.
That might be a good starting point to figure out if your favorites have been included.

The segments on the set are comprable in many ways to the "Lifetime" syndications. The quality is obviously top-notch but in my opinion you can get a lot more bang for your buck by buying Crystaldawn's "Best Of Unsolved Mysteries" series because a lot of the stuff that she puts on her sets while not in the same league quality wise as the First Look sets, do include more segments, some of which are taken from the original broadcasts (and therefore complete without edits) and even some segments that haven't never seen syndication.

Thank you for the information. I will read the reviews on Amazon and also consider contacting Crystaldawn for the dvd's. ;)

I've got both Crystal Dawns and the official ones.

They are both equally good. The DVDs are awesome especially if you get the whole collection with the neat treasure chest with all the UM DVDs inside. The segments are reasonably well chosen for all but the murders set.
CDs DVD set is awesome and it i'd recommend it to anyone. It was certainly the cherry on top of UM segments that kept my interest in the show again over the last year or so.

WTF?????

I never freaking sold any of her stuff on ebay!!

I have sold the Ultimate Collection on ebay with youtube vids - yes. But never any of Crystal Dawn's stuff.

BTW Business? What the hell? Business? I'd love to have an ebay business, but i'd hardly call selling 25 things on ebay a business. I've sold 6 UM collection sets, plus a few sets of youtube vids for like $1-$5. Not to mention i've sold other stuff apart from UM stuff. Come on your from Australia, don't you understand that??? I remember you once said that you wish there was more UM content here before you got the UM DVDs.

Get your facts straight!

Buy CD's DVDs. Yes, the quality may not as pristine as in the First Look DVDs, but she has a ton more segments, plus some never shown on Lifetime, and you get more bang for your buck.

I highly recommend getting CD's set. I haven't ordered any of her volumes yet, but I am planning to do so in the next few weeks. You get tons of episodes, including many that Lifetime showed very rarely (if at all) and the price is beyond reasonable.

I own the Ultimate UM chest set and while I love having it, if I had to choose between the chest and CD's collection, CD would win hands down.

Can I ask why? I sure was looking forward to the latest volume, just hadn't gotten around to ordering it yet.
