Haunted_Armoire 07-11-2008, 10:24 PM Drink Drink DRINK DRINK!!
How many drinking scenes or references to alcohol can you remember from ILL?
Obvious is Vitameatavegamin. 23 % alcohol! Accidental overdose!
Fred's breakfast in "Redecorating" was a bottle of beer and a salami sandwich.
:p
Ireneparalegal 07-11-2008, 10:29 PM Oh my :brent That title is the funniest title I have seen in a long time!!!
Ricky slipped Lucy a mickey. ;) It did put her to sleep although it was not alcohol. Does that count? Probably not.
Haunted_Armoire 07-11-2008, 10:33 PM How about when Lucy thinks Ricky and Grace Foster are having an affair!
Grace: "I'll open another case!"
Lucy: "They're up there DRINKING!!!"
Ireneparalegal 07-11-2008, 10:35 PM Seeing the word DRINKING now makes me
In THE BALLET, Lucy thinks "the bar" is where they are going for a drink...not the bar to put her foot on.
Haunted_Armoire 07-11-2008, 10:39 PM
In "Lucy's Last Birthday" Lucy has the hiccups while seated alone in the park. The "Friends of the the Friendless" guy thinks she's drunk.
Lucy: ::::: HIC::: Oh no! You don't understand! I'm LOADED!!
FOTF Dude: "We're sure of THAT, too! ;) "
Ireneparalegal 07-11-2008, 10:43 PM  "We are friends of the friendless, yes we are, yes we are..."
In CUBAN PALS when "Little Renita" comes to dance with Ricky causing Lucy to be jealous. The couple that arrives first at the Ricardos are served wine. ;)
Haunted_Armoire 07-11-2008, 10:49 PM While Lucy is experiencing her snail-meal in France, she's served a half-bottle of red wine.
Ireneparalegal 07-11-2008, 10:52 PM I would have drank the whole bottle instead of eating those ugly creatures.
In the episode where Lucy is changing her mind abt the name of the baby, feeling so sad and depressed, etc. Ricky asks her and the Mertzes to go meet him at the club for dinner. On the table you see glasses filled with alcohol.
Haunted_Armoire 07-11-2008, 11:03 PM Wine is served to Lucy's MIL and family in "Lucy's Mother In Law" .
In "Breaking The Lease" I think I rememeber some beer steins atop the piano. So booze contributed to the fight!?
In "Lucy Raises Tulips" Ethel says "NO I HAVEN'T BEEN NIPPIN' AT THE COOKING SHERRY!!!"
And in "The Business Manager" Lucy buys cooking sherry for Mrs. Trumball.
Ireneparalegal 07-11-2008, 11:08 PM Speaking of Sherry, the man at the passport offices accuses Lucy of "nipping at the cooking sherry" too.
I was going to post to abt BREAKING THE LEASE, but I can't remember off-hand if there were actual beer bottles. For some reason I believe so after seeing that fight.
Haunted_Armoire 07-11-2008, 11:13 PM Speaking of Sherry, the man at the passport offices accuses Lucy of "nipping at the cooking sherry" too.
:
Ethel: Oh...she's just taken a little NAP! "
Passport guy: Seems like she's taken a little NIP!!! "
 Good one!
Ireneparalegal 07-11-2008, 11:16 PM In the SENTIMENTAL ANNIVERSARY where Ricky and Lucy "want to be alone" and hide in the closet, they are drinking champagne.
Haunted_Armoire 07-12-2008, 06:09 PM Miss Lewis dusts off an old bottle of elderberry wine *that must have a real TANG to it by now!* with hopes she and Mr. Ritter will have a couple BELTS before dinner.
Ireneparalegal 07-12-2008, 06:18 PM
In RICKY AKS FOR A RAISE I think Ricky pours Mr. Littlefield a drink. I am not too sure. I know for a fact he poured that man who came over in the episode abt the beard Lucy wore.
In THE DINER episode we see the drunk who is obviously looking for a bar so he can drink.
coffield3 07-12-2008, 06:27 PM Ricky and Fred Are TV Fans, I believe they are drinking beer.
Haunted_Armoire 07-12-2008, 06:27 PM During Ricky's "Daddy Shower" all the men bring "gifts" in the form of one bottle of beer EACH. Talk about cheap! "Let's open the presents!!" :happyface
And in "The Operetta" we learn that Squire has the gout because the ale makes him ail and the stout makes him stout. Or vice versa.
Ireneparalegal 07-12-2008, 06:29 PM You are so right Claire. ;)
 ^^^Fred and the ale and stout.
