I would buy Alice if it came out on dvd as complete season set. But as things stand lately, there are so many shows unreleased or unfinished on dvd. My dvd buying habits went from 3 or 4 a month to 0. There's nothing coming out that interests me.

We want actual DVD's that we can hold in our hands and would gladly pay the price you quote if they were available as more than a download.

Downloads IMO don't count as official releases.....

Warner Brothers is a company that will not or at least has not outsourced a single title of theirs to smaller companies...I'd love it if shout factory did this title, they got a lot of the folks involved with Blossom that were still living to do meaningful bonuses with seasons 1 and 2 of that release. Yes, I'm a die hard too and would go directly to order from Amazon and it would actually be a title I'd seriously consider getting expedited shipping for...we've waited that long for a season release.

I hope also that everyone who does want Alice in seasons has gone over to TVSODVD to vote...it really does make a difference...just look at Wings for example ;)

I guess the only alternative is to put it on the national ballots during an election year and ask specifically if people would buy Alice in seasons...maybe then we'd get a release :)

Short of an intervention from heaven though I'm not sure how much longer we'll have to wait *sigh*

I bought one of the eppys. But i agree it is not the same as owning them.

I hope Shout releases them on DVD somehow.

I loved "Alice", but really only enjoyed it when Flo was on. Her own show wasn't as good, but I liked "Flo", also.

Shout! Factory is releasing the MTM spin-off "Rhoda" on dvd, and folks are asking for "Phyllis" & "Lou Grant", too.

It wouldn't hurt to put in a message to them...

I too wasn't thrilled about Alice on iTunes at first. However, I had recently bought an iPod Classic, and found out that if you buy an iPod AV component you can take videos downloaded from iTunes and play them on your TV via the iPod and can even fire up the ol' DVD recorder to put them on DVD. So I now plan to do this. There are other shows on there that I'd like to get also. This could be the best way for studios to release more obscure shows or shows of which they don't expect blockbuster sales.

For some reason, I thought this was out on DVD already. LOL. My mistake.

Doesn't the first season exist on DVD? I think it was available on amazon.

The following link http://www.amazon.com/Alice-Season-1-Linda-Lavin/dp/B00005JOH9 but I guess it hasn't been released.

Amazon does that a lot, but it doesn't mean the series is coming out on DVD.

Has anyone ever found out why Amazon alaways does this?

Amazon has the 1st season on streaming as well but it's $27.99! Would think it'd be cheaper to stream since they don't have to produce any DVD's...??!!

Downloaded all of these & made my own DVDs... Not the best quality, though.
