I always have thought the first season was awkward. Especially Dan. His performances are painfully wooden. He was really uptight and geeky. Took well into season 2 for him to become the lecherous sex maniac we all love.

I saw some of them whe they were brand new, back in the day, and watched the whole series on the last go - round. I'm done, that was enough for me.

Totally agree, Harry T. Stone. I don't even own season 1 on dvd because I couldn't take the writing. Sure, all shows have to find their way, but it took a good year before Bull became simple, Dan letcherous, and wade through all those lousy female leads before they settled on Markie.

Bull and Dan were both monotone tight-asses before Dan became more high-energy and deviant, and Bull was written more innocent and naive.
