This is going to date me.

In kindergarten I had a Banana Splits lunchbox from the cartoon series. I remember some of my other lunch boxes through the years included one from my favorite cartoon Hong Kong Phooey , I had a Happy Days lunchbox and one from Emergency. Those are the only ones that come to mind right now. I know I had a few more. I stopped taking lunchboxes to school when I got into Junior High.

they were all pretty much disney related. lol.
ariel, belle, the lion king, mulan. then once i left elementary school, i started taking just a plain purple lunchbox to school. and then that was replaced by the brown paper bag.

As a little girl I had; My Little Pony, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Lion King, The Little Mermaid and possibly a Pocahontas (not 100% sure of that one). 6th grade was the last year I carried a lunchbox and that was just one solid blue and one solid purple.

In the 50's when I was in elementary school I had a red plaid metal lunch box which was very popular then.

My daughter in the mid 70's had an Osmond Brothers lunch box. She had a mad crush on Donny. LOL
My son had a Hulk Hogan lunch box in the 80's.

My first lunchbox had the 101 Dalmatians on it. I also remember owning one with Hello Kitty. The others were just plain, in solid colors.

A cheese sandwich, or a PB&J--as a picky eater, there wasn't much variety there--toward the end of my school career, I ended up buying school lunches; they were hot lunches, and balanced, at least.

Do you remember the Muppet Babies episode that was a parody of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? That is the one episode I still remember. I watched the Muppet Show too. I loved those old guys who were up in the balcony (sp?).

Statler and Waldorf were the two old hecklers in the balcony. I love 'em!! I remember the Muppet Babies did lots of parodies. I don't remember the Indiana Jones one, but I DO remember the take-off they did of Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. I have the first 3 seasons of the Muppet Show on DVD...when will they put Muppet Babies on DVD??? I'd buy it!!

Here's a great website of everything Muppets: http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Muppet_Wiki

I had a 101 Dalmatians one, an ALF one, a Garfield one, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turles one, a Cabbage Patch one, and some others that I don't remember. I had quite the collection. Unfortunately, I don't have any of them anymore :(

I don't see too many kids carrying those kinds of lunchboxes these days. Most of the kids at the school I work at either buy lunch or use brown bags or those plain nylon ones that fit in their backpacks.

Oops! I misread the thread, sorry! I read 'in' instead of 'on'.

That would be kind of cool though, a picture of a sandwich on my lunchbox. Sounds like something Kramer would've invented!

(I actually used a paper bag, not a lunchbox)

Thanks for pointing it out!

I only had a Barbie lunchbox. It doesn't show my age though, since Barbie is timeless (I'm 24, though). My brother had a Pee Wee's Playhouse one and a He-Man (Master's of the Universe) one!
