Last night I saw a commercial on our nbc channel that was advertising deal or no deal at 4pm weekdays this fall. not sure if it going to be a network program or local syndicate deal. the shows are advertised as being a 1/2 hour but i'm not sure if they'e brand new shows or possibly old episodes chopped up. howie mandell was in the ads so its safe to assume he will host this version as well. it looks like its going to replace ellen at 4pm. anyone know anything about this?

It will be new half-hour episodes with Howie Mandell--syndicated, not on NBC Daytime.

I'm sure this will help kill DoND primetime for sure--overexposure.

It doesn't sound like a good idea for DoND to do Daytime.

You probably will be watching DOND on WNBC 4 in NYC. In my area KTXL will carry DOND in the timeslot replaced by Steve Wilkos.

I wonder if Deal or No Deal will air on WGNO since they air Game's Show's from 9:00 am until 10:00 am Central Time

Yeah, WGNO's been airing promos for DOND.

I don't see this working at all. When you've watched the show once, you've watched it a million times. Every single game is the same, the only difference is whatever gimmick they try to throw out there.

did WGNO happen to say what Time Deal or No Deal would be airing on WGNO

Yeah, DOND isn't going to work well as a syndie show, look what happened to syndie Weakest Link in 2002, it instantly killed the network version and only lasted 18 months. I see the same run happening with DOND.

It will be the 1/2 hour version. The show will have the top prize of $500,000 and will only have 22 cases and three models, the rest are the layover contestants.

Like I said in another post, DoND is essentially the bonus game to what should be another type of trivia/quiz show.

DOND just had a big contest where viewers voted for the next DOND model -- for the daytime version?? -- or will there still be a primetime DONO with the million dollar prize??

That is for the primetime network version. The top prize on the Network version will still be the same, but the syndicated version will be cut in half.

showing it earlier in the day is a good plus. it was on at 8 pm last year, but i would always be watching something else.
that sucks that the million dollars is not going to be there anymore and that it's only going to be 30 minutes though.

Will be airing on my ABC affiliate at 11am (central) weekdays--Jepoardy's current slot, so I wonder if Jep is moving to 11:30am (where paid programming currently airs).
