June 3) - Think Rosie O'Donnell doesn't have any hard feelings about her time on 'The View'? Think again.

O'Donnell made an appearance on Cyndi Lauper's True Colours tour in Vancouver, asking the crowd "remember 'The View'? Do you get it here in Canada?"

"It was a cute little tea party show turned into a women's prison film," she added. "Remember 'Born Innocent,' that Linda Blair movie? Remember the broomstick? I know how she felt."

O'Donnell was referring to the notorious shower rape scene in the 1974 made-for-TV movie that sent young Linda Blair to a reform school for girls. In one scene, she is held down by her fellow reformees and violated with the handle of a plunger. The scene is quite graphic, even by today's standards.

The rape scene was deleted from subsequent airings after it was blamed as an influence of a rape of a young girl with a soda bottle.

O'Donnell added that life behind the scenes on 'The View' "was like one big dysfunctional Irish Catholic family. Do anything except tell the truth. That doesn't fly for me."

Wow!!! A bit too extreme, don't you think?? But then again for Rosie, I guess not...
I miss the old Rosie or fake Rosie I guess it was when she was so nice and sweet on her own talk show in the late 90's. Anybody remember that??

I hear she'll be on Password tonight...

Rosie is a BITTER BLIMPO

Also by Rosie speaking out like this, she is revealing that she was actually LET GO and that it wasn't a MUTUAL DECISION

rosies 15 minutes are up. she only has these outbursts to keep herself in the headlines however she fails to realize her career is dead in the water because of it.

its one thing to be a big mouth but atleast be informed ofwhat your shooting your mouth off about.

I remember. I was a fan. It's too bad she's become unglued because Rosie can be very entertaining. Funny, interesting...it's as if she's another person now.

I was walking along the beach today...

The sun was shining, I was holding hands with my girlfriend, who is by the way a Miss USA semi finalist..

We were hunting for seashells, which is something we do all the time when we're not back in our luxury suite having lots of sex..

Anyway, I found the perfect conch shell.. I held it up to my ear...

It was very strange..all I heard was Rosie bitching about her time on The View...

Yeah, in other words, we've heard this crap before...

Stop it Rosie!

Move the freak on!

i never really liked rosie from the time she had her own talk show. she always came off phony and crass to me. i never got over how for a time she was labeled "the queen of nice" because she seemed so transparent. but after she ambushed tom sellek i lost all respect for her.

I miss her too. In fact, I used to LOVE Rosie back in the late 90's. LOVED her talk show (anyone remember when she had Tom Hanks on there and they were singing theme songs to cartoons!? I about died when he started doing "Super Chicken!" ), loved that she was so "in love" with Tom Cruise and how giddy she was when he finally appeared on her show. Then when Barbara Streisand and James Brolin were on, Rosie was in tears, finally having met her idol. (geez, if I were Barbara now, I would pretend I never even met Rosie).

Then of course, was her hilarious performances in "Sleepless In Seattle" (My FAVORITE movie!) and "A League of Their Own" (that part was perfect for her!).

So what happened?

PLEASE forgive me for saying this because I don't mean to offend anyone but she really started to change after she came out of the closet. It's probably a coincidence, but it just seems weird. If she wants to be respected for who she is, she needs to grow up. I can't stand her at all.

I mean, she was always loud, but now she's just obnoxious and stupid. Especially to say something like that. Comparing Prison Break to The View? I always hated that show "The View". I saw Rosie's little fight with Elizabeth Hasselback on Youtube.I won't get into the details of the fight, but I don't like Elizabeth at all either. She is nauseating and I feel sorry for her brother, Matt (who is the Seahawks quarterback). I thought it was cool at first when Elizabeth got that job on "The View" but now that show needs to just go away.

Same here. I definitely regret having a liking of Rosie O'Donnell in the late 90s (emphasis on late 90s!) right now, even though the Barbra Streisand ep. was definitely one of the greatest moments of Season 2 (1997-98). Other standout moments from that season include the Mary Tyler War (MTM trivia contest in which Rosie lost to Davenia McFadden), Rosie going on "The People's Court" (Ed Koch version) to sue Davenia for a rematch (seriously!), Rosie & Davenia going on Jeopardy! for a Classic TV trivia match (they tied!), & Rosie getting five known game show hosts (Chuck Woolery, Bob Eubanks, Tom Kennedy, Marc Summers, & David Ruprecht) to do a musical number to wish her good luck! But after 2002, I never cared to see her on TV again. Whenever I did happen to do so, I didn't squeal with glee when I saw her (her appearance on "The Rachael Ray Show" about two months ago and her "Million Dollar Password" episode immediately come to mind).

I feel the same way. Her crush on her "Tommy" was cute. I don't like either one of them anymore, although I can tolerate Tom much more than I can Rosie.

i can stomach rosie more than tom. i believe when she came out of the closet(too bad everyone knew except for her before) that's when her sanity went to hell. i can understand now why rosie went mad on the view, that elizabeth needs to be gagged! even i want to bitchslap her at times
