A man charged with murdering his wife in Prince George's County in 1987 was arrested in Nevada yesterday after allegedly robbing a bank there, officials said.

Charles Wilson Chester, 50, who is suspected of fatally stabbing his wife, Aster, 33, in Largo in June 1987, was being held without bond in Las Vegas, FBI spokesman Jim Dearborn said.

Chester is suspected of robbing a series of banks after killing his wife. He is charged with committing one of those holdups, in January 1989, in Baltimore County, and is under investigation in 15 others, mostly in the same county, Dearborn said.

I'll always love this segment for the additional profiles at the end. RS calmly stated that these folks were given nicknames (apparently to prepare us for the ridiculousness enroute). He then gave profiles for the Madusa Bandit (a crossdressing 20-something male), the Garbage Bag Bandit, who could really sack the cash, and my personal favorite, THE SHORTS BANDIT (ftw!). This guy actually looked like a postal employee on a summer route in Florida.

My favorite part of this episode is in the beginning when the actor walks into the bank and slams the briefcase down on the counter, scaring the teller and says "Im having a little trouble getting this open" so suave and causally:lol:

Chester was released from federal prison on December 14th, 2004 after having been in custody for 15 years.

THAT'S IT? After robbery I can understand but murdering his wife should have kept him in jail for life.
