Jason Gacy. Does anyone know this guy?

He owes me about 72 DVDs

Here is his partial addres and e mail

Jason Gacy jason_gacy@yahoo.com

Jason Gacy
Butternut Rd
Whitmore Lake, MI 48189

These are the last 5 e mails that I sent that were not responded to.

Hey Jason how is it going. Am I going to get these pretty soon. I'm looking fwd
to seeing them. Thanks, Dave.

Jason were you able to mail those DVDs off yet?

Since you haven't responded I assume you are not really planning on sending my
DVDs. You know I worked hard on your DVDs and got them out to you in a very fast
manner. I said I would make up the ones you were missing. Honesty is the best
policy.

Since you're not answering I'm going to be forced to go to all the trading sites
I know and report your full name, address and e mail to the bad trader lists. I
really don't see why you just honor your part of the agreement.

Hey Jason. How about you just send me a little of what you owe me then we can
call it even?

Really you should have reported it. I looked on the Bad Trader list on this site before I traded with him.

I know a lot of times people don't want to publically rant or complain on a trade -
Sometimes they think eh it was a small trade, other times, they feel the person is a new trader- whatever the reason they don't wish to take it public.

In these cases, simply let me know privately- or RobyRob.

I have a list in example of such things-
Your perfectly right in thinking a trade of 2 discs gone bad might not need a huge public display.
But by mentioning it quietly to a moderator- if a NEW complaint arises, we can say uh oh- this persons name came up before- and perhaps stop a pattern before it begins.

Anyone can email me anytime, if a trade doesn't go exactly as planned- and if the trader has had a problem before we can then move forward knowing it wasn't you, or it wasn't just one trade-
Sometimes problems can be resolved, sometimes not- but if you don't mention it- we don't have a chance to stop what might be a patterned bad trader.

This particular trader, I myself have not heard of. The city isn't on the bad trader lists (sometimes people change their name, have a neighbor take in a package)
But that doesn't mean much these days.

With 2 previous problems, and no good feedback there might be a larger problem.
So I am glad it is being mentioned publically- so it can be looked into.

If anyone else has any feedback, I hope they will post as well-

I'm not ranting or anything. I'm just letting people know. You can delete this thread if you like.

i think Kim is just trying to point out that the trader you called out as bad may have other people that he ripped off that either were afraid to or didn't bother to speak up about because it may have only been for a small number of disks.

Oh I see. I have had three PMs from people saying he ripped them off.

I also got a PM from Jason, first time in over a month. He said that 16 out of 60 or so of the DVDs I sent him were bad. He has said this before, and I always stated that I would make good on it. Funny, but we were supposed to mail off at the same time. Well he got my DVDs and looked through them all then decided he wasn't going to mail his off because of the poor quality of mine... That's what he says anyway. Of course if he had already copied my DVDs and had them ready to go like he states than why wouldn't he simply mail them off so I would then re-copy the ones he says are bad?

I think the more likely senario is that he never intended to trade with me and justified this with his excuse. If he wanted to make good on his end of the deal I would be more than willing to re-copy and send out replacements.

No no, I wasn't commenting on your post Atlas- what I was saying, is that as Pioneer mentioned, he too had a problem-
Since there was a previous problem, I was using the example as a platform that even if its a small amount of discs, and someone doesnt' want to post publically- if they make mention quietly to a moderator, a moderator can keep a heads up on possible future problems.

I saw no problem on your post wahtsoever, matter of fact I know you to post good feedback as well as bad, to check out the trader lists- and follow up on issues- which is what makes the community strong.

I was GLAD you posted, inquiring- and although I am sorry it happened, your post was exactly correct- and the prompt to pioneer to speak up, as said shows this might not be a sole incident-
So having both of you post, might save the community a lot of losses.

I was attempting to commend your efforts- sorry if I muddied it up a bit :)

well, it looks like his horrorhosttrader.info site has been taken down - I have asked him to send out everything he owes to complete all of his trades ASAP, we'll see what happens next.

...and, he did just log-in on Friday so he knows this thread is here.

Thanks. Before he stopped answering my e mails he said he was having money problems. I offered to pay for the shipping and re-copy DVDs he saidi that didn't burn. That was when he stopped answering my e mails.

Obviously making him send first is the best thing to do. CROOK!

He has a great selection of Exploitation movies. BASTARD!:angryfire

I tried everything to just get him to send me some of what i WANTED, BUT ONCE HE HAD MY DVDS HE HAD LITTLE MOTIVATION TO DO THAT.
