Don't know if this is official or not but I found a wikipedia page dedicated to this upcoming show. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Mark Curry's publicist announced that "Hangin' With Mr Cooper: Warrior's Spirit" a remake of the mid-nineties TV sitcom is set to begin production in September 2008. It will be produced by NBA star Golden State Warriors Baron Davis, a long time friend of Curry. Also staring is Raven-Symoné reprising her role as Nicole Lee. The plot is said to be based on Mr. Cooper joining the Golden State Warriors.

Considering this is Wikipedia, where anyone can just put up anything.....I would not hedge my bets.

Isn't he a little bit too old to be joining the Golden State Warriors now? lol

He will probably be the mascot in costume. ;)

I would guess he would be a coach on the team.

That title is terrible. It sounds like he's become a samurai or something.

It's got UPN written all over it and I would say it won't make it past 10 episodes. If it even happens at all.

Don't be surprised if it ends up on TVland...the network where classics are revived.

I highly doubt this is true.

I would watch it, it couldn't be worse than the junk that is on TV now.

Yeah, I want to know that too.

I always find it weird how a poster just happens to find the most obscure stuff on Wikipedia. I mean, I don't go surfing Wiki for anything.

if they were to do a follow up then they should've done it when hangin' with mr cooper was axed back in 96'. this so-called spin off is a tad too late i have to say. the plot doesn't sound that interesting either. i was still baffled over that last episode where mark proposed to vanessa in a basketball match. WTH happened there eh, as it then cut off for no apparent reason and as it left us viewers hanging.

as for wikipedia, you know you can never trust anything that is written on there

that's what i was thinking aaron. i'd doubt that holly robinson peete would return; as for raven, well she's made a name for herself now having appeared in two major sitcoms as a kid- the cosby show and hangin' with mr cooper in the latter seasons, as well as her own, 'that's so raven

This is not true. Why would Baron Davis be producing it? He is on his way out of Golden State in all likelihood. Do not believe stuff like this on Wikipedia unless it is given a source.

LOL, I like to search the shows I used to watch on wikipedia from time to time and after randomly going on the Hangin' With Mr. Cooper page I found a link to this Warrior's Spirit show article.

I was wondering if anyone heard about this before? I know Wikipedia is unreliable but also things that are reported to not be true don't stay up there for long as someone takes the info down.

Looks like Baron Davis has signed with the Clippers, I doubt he'd be involved now even if it were true.
