According to TSOD, a Peanuts holiday 3 pack will be released this fall including It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas. These titles will also be released for individual sale. They are all remastered with new cover art as Warner Brothers has bought the Peanuts library from Paramount

i'm looking forward to this set as i'd like to see them remastered and love the new cover art. i have the valentines special too irene, i love that one. i bought these specials before but individually instead of the old set available. i donated them to the shelter i work at along with rudolph, a christmas carol, and garfield holiday celebrations.

This is great news!!! It will be nice to see remastered versions of these classic holiday specials. :)

I already have them, I bought them when they were first released.

Maybe I might get all of these for Christmas. I like Charlie Brown. I also want "You're not elected Charlie Brown" on DVD too which comes out on November 4, 2008.

Special? it was a part of growing up and seeing the Peanuts characters also do the ads while the specials aired on TV--this was mainly the '70s.

These must be reissues because I have a three box set that includes Halloween, Christmas and Thanksgiving (but no Dolly Madison ads-you are right; those were classic!). Thank goodness Zingers are still around, though!

Warner now owns the rights to The Peanuts cartoon. So this box coming out is a Warner box set,
The one you have is from Paramount. I have the same set.

I think Warner did a whole remastering job? I guess there sopposed to look better? As for me I see nothing wrong with the ones from Paramount and I'm going to stick with those ones.

The specials being put out by Warner have all new "making of" documentaries as well as being digitally remastered.

If they make them look too "new" then it takes away from the nostalgia of it! I kind of like the faded, worn look that TV shows take on after several years!
