True! I was born in Long Island, New York and all my family is from there/lives there. Moved to FL when I was a little over a year old so I've grown up in the south. I got the best of both world's I guess :lol:

Weird, but even though FL is in the south, I don't consider it "southern", not like I would consider Ala, GA, or TN southern. You go to any of those states, you hear southern accents. Probably the reason you don't hear many southern accents in FL(at least I don't) is because alot of the people who live there are from up north anyway!!:D

I've lived near Atlanta for over 20 years, but I've never considered myself a southerner. There are just so many transplants down here.

Like some people have said the only southern state I have been to is Florida. I lived in Upstate NY my whole life can't get that much more yankee than that without going to New England (Conn, Mass, RI)!!!

But I have always been drawn to movies and books that take place in the south. I think I was southern in a past life!!!

same here. that question was why i got 90% instead of 100%. unsweetened iced tea is disgusting.

Florida is the Southern North. Everyone there is from somewhere else. LOL! I was born and raised there. LOL! I lived there for 36 years.

I scored 40% Yankee and 60% Dixie. I guess I am really getting to know my Southern roots now that I'm living in Alabama.
