PARMA, Ohio - Drew Carey really, really loves the pizza from Antonio's — so he's having UPS deliver dozens of the pies from Ohio all the way to Los Angeles.

The Cleveland native often stops at the Parma pizzeria for a pepperoni slice when he visits town. But this time he placed a tall order — 45 pizza pies — to celebrate Saturday's season finale of his CBS game show, "The Price is Right."

The pizzeria's owners say the order will cost Carey $450. That doesn't include the steep price of delivering the pizzas thousands of miles away.

I can't believe the season's over already. Drew Carey definitely deserves all the pizza - this was the best season of the The Price is Right in years.

Here is more of the story that I found:

PIZZERIA OFFERED 45 CENT PIZZAS TO CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR APPRECIATION TO DREW CAREY

PARMA, Ohio -- "The Price is Right" host Drew Carey loves the pizza from Antonio's in Parma so much, he's having UPS deliver 45 of their pies all the way to Los Angeles, and the pizzeria is offering 45 cent pizzas to their patrons in appreciation.

The 45-cent offer is good for one 9-inch cheese pizza per customer Thursday.

Carey, a Cleveland native, often stops at Antonio's in Parma for a pepperoni slice when he visits town. But this time he placed a tall order of 45 pizza pies to celebrate the game show's final episode of the season on Saturday.

The pizzeria's owners say the order will cost Carey $450 -- and that doesn't include the steep price of delivering the pizzas thousands of miles away.

When Tricha Powe took the call Tuesday afternoon she thought it was a prank call, and who wouldn't.

"This is Drew Carey do you deliver to California?" the caller asked. Tricha tells FOX 8 she told them that was a bit extreme, and another employee told her to just hang up.

An hour later, someone representing the Cleveland born comic called the Parma Antonio's Pizza restaurant back from California to assure them they were not kidding and Carey insisted on serving pizzas, plain and pepperoni, from his favorite restaurant after the season finale of "The Price is Right" game show, which he's the host of.

During their 40 years in business in Cleveland the restaurant has developed a loyal following, but none bigger than Drew Carey.

In the nine years that the comedian hosted a television sitcom, he often left Antonio's pizza boxes around the set. He sent for pizzas on two previous occasions from the restaurant andlikes to slip quietly into when he's back home.

The pizzas were partially baked at the Parma restaurant Wednesday, carefully packaged in ten boxes and frozen. A chef in Hollywood will finish baking them before the season Finale on Saturday.

Fox 8 News was there as UPS picked the pizzas up Thursday afternoon to take the pies directly to the airport and overnight delivery to Carey's studio.

"This is exciting," restaurant owners Tony and Grace LoSchiavo tell Fox 8. "Drew is such a nice guy and he's been so good to us."

Patrons have also named Antonio's one of Clevelands best pizza restaurants on the FOX 8 Hot list, and admire Carey's devotion to his hometown.
