Does anyone recall watching it on the Final Appeal spinoff?

I have reason to believe this episode was shot and completed but never aired.

Well he was released anyways, I seen he was released on a Regular episode. So maybe they were working on it but then he got released.
The case was such BS. Seriously, for every one of these cases that are out to the public, there has to be tens if not hundreds more of innocent men in prision put there by faulty evidence.
What I don't understand at all, they used the 'confession' even though it did not match any details from the crime. Even though, his hair(dna) did not match the one left at the crime. The case should of been thrown out by the judge, pisses me off each time i see this.

Poor guy he looked so happy and not bitter when released. It is a shame when this happens just to close a case.

yeah it makes me sick, how police treated the mentally ill back then. there was a couple cases of that.
there police bullied either kids or mentally ill people. questioning them for hours and hours. then telling them just tell the truth you can go home.

then when their story doesn't line up at all, they give them the details to make it match.

to me, what is EVEN more sick. Is the judge, who allowed this case to be brought forward. Even after he got on the stand and said, he has no idea why he is pleading guilty.

it brings me back to the memphis 3 case. those boys spent a-lot longer in prision. hbo did a doc, on it. actually i think 3. two of which while they were in prision.
and yet, the gov. and state officials still convinced themselves they were innocent.
in that case also, a mentally ******** boy, said he did it, with the two other boys.
also again, during the 1990's they had this weird obsession, with devil worship. that whomever dressed in black, and played dungeons and dragons worshiped the devil. esp. in the south it seemed

i believe i saw this doc, in the mid 2000's. i was never more haunted by any movie in my life. that justice could be so flawed. they would of been executed, if the state had the death sentence at the time. Really makes you think, what percentage of people in prision in this country are innocent. I mean, DNA helps a-lot these days, but in most cases DNA is not there to be had. But DNA has helped prove so many people were innocent. Also, more scary, how many people in this country have we executed, who were mentally ill, and who were innocent.
