Yes...I have 46 episodes of "Mayberry RFD" in my collection and Andy Griffith appeared in about 5 or 6. "Helen" appeared in two with him, the first episode in the series where Andy & Helen get married and the episode you mention which centers on who will be the Godfather of their new baby.

My main complaint with this episode is that Andy would want somebody other than Barney to be his son's Godfather.

It's kind of funny thinking about Opie having a new mom AND a baby brother.

As far as Return to Mayberry goes, they seem to skip over the Mayberry R.F.D. years altogether. No mention of Sam Jones in the film. I can understand since he wasn't a big part of "The Andy Griffith Show" but he still "took over" Mayberry once Andy left, so there should have been some tiny mention of him.

Yea and Mayberry R.F.D. wasn't a bad show either. Not as good as the early years of TAGS but better than most of todays sitcoms.

LOL, I know what you're saying. I think there was an episode where someone asked about the law in Mayberry, and they mentioned that once Sheriff Andy Taylor left, they all just sort of helped enforcing the law.

Since people don't seem to like the color episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show" as much as the black and white years, I've always thought they should have syndicated it with the five black and white seasons of "The Andy Griffith Show" and then the three color seasons of TAGS as well as all three seasons of "Mayberry R.F.D.", renaming it "The Mayberry Show" or something. And BTW, that was a very long sentence I just created, lol.

I actually consider all 11 seasons to be the same show. Because I believe if it wasn't called "The Andy Griffith Show" but rather "The Mayberry Show" that it would have been considered the same show in reruns. That's why I don't consider my Andy Griffith collection complete until they release all three Ken Berry seasons on DVD.

Maybe once they finish up Gomer Pyle, MRFD will be next.
