View Full Version : All 5 Original "The Lucy Show" Columbia House VHS tapes available
TeeVeeCloset 06-23-2008, 09:53 AM Hi Friends,
I just transferred all 5 of the original Columbia House "The Lucy Show" VHS tapes to DVD which contain 20 episodes from various seasons and include all the original openings, which I have always been so fond of, my least favorite actually is the final seasons opening which is the most common. Anyway these are full uncut episodes and contain about 5 from season 1 alone including episode one, "Lucy waits up for Chris", featuring my childhood crush cutie Candy Moore. Anyone interested in these tapes email direct to: teeveecloset@aol.com
Lee G 10-11-2008, 06:10 PM Oh yea, Candy Moore. She was lovely in this show. Appropriately named as she truly is candy for the eyes. :)

LOL....really loud....so glad I'm not the only one who thought she was cute as she was screaming her dialogue.....lol......thanks for the great laugh Lee! As a side note, Candy also appears in an early episode of My Three Sons, not sure of what season.....
Jude The Obscure 10-12-2008, 06:25 PM Candy also appeared on The Donna Reed Show as one of Shelly Fabares' friends, so there's another incentive to get Donna Reed!
I remember having these tapes and then because of hard times, selling them for money :(

Thanks for the news, I didn't know that but definately planned on buying "Donna Reed" anyway, Do you know what season Candy appeared in? Like to relive my childhood crush but really enjoy seeing actors protray different characters. She was extremely limited in her ability in "The Lucy Show" but was much better in the afore mentioned "Sons" episode.

According to a bio I read, Candy Moore is now a journalist and author. She's no longer the cutie she once was as she is now 61, but still an attractive woman for her age.

Donna Reed Show, My Three Sons, Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, all these shows are coming out on DVD. As much as I like classic TV, I have to limit purchases to my absolute favorite shows. I don't have much time available for TV watching anyway, shelf space is limited and there are some shows I bought some time ago and haven't even watched them yet. For these shows that I have a mild interest in but don't intend to buy, at least there is you tube where selected episodes are available to view for free.

My apologies for not answering sooner, TeeVee.
From what I gather, Candy's run on The Donna Reed Show was during the 64-66 seasons--exactly at the same time her role as Chris had greatly diminished on The Lucy Show. So apparently Lucy had no objections to the younger stars moonlighting.

There is always Netflix--which is great to watch old TV shows you would like to see, but necessarily want to own. I'm doing this right now for The Best of Password.

Jude The Obscure 01-06-2009, 12:40 AM Well, I'm uh......not looking to get more VHS.........ahem.......
Candy's last known acting role was the 1981 comedy called "Lunch Wagon".
