I remember watching it in the 70s, but I never thout so and at the time I was also watching reruns of "McHALES NAVY" on a local station (WKBS channel 48, Solomon! Do you remember when they used to show them?)

Yup wouldn't have known anything about CPO Sharkey if it wasn't for channel 48 in 89-lol

After seeing Gomer Pyle for the First Time, The Closing Credits of CPO Sharkey is Similar to the Opening Credits of Gomer Pyle

I haven't seen "C.P.O. SHARKEY" in 30 years, since it was first on NBC, and the last time I saw Gomer was when TV LAND used to show it, but now that you mention it, Solomon, you're right.


Also Solomon, you would be interested in this-I remember, for the last few episodes of "C.P.O. SHARKEY" they used plots that were first used on "GOMER PYLE: U.S.M.C."

Just read he was the Executive Producer for both CPO Sharkey and Gomer Pyle. Now the similarities make sense

I discovered the show on one of my local tv stations in 1989 and comedy Central aired CPO Sharkey in the early 90's

Yeah they aired a marathon in 1990 or 1991 of all the eps and during the marathon they keep saying during the commercial break-"THIS IS THE LAST TIME THIS SHOW WILL BE ON TV"

It sucks that they were right-lol 17 years and nothing
