View Full Version : New Game-----"What Would They Use It For?"
I would like to start a new, silly game for the summer. It's called "What Would They Use It For?" (I can't think of a better name right now). This is how you play. You pick an item from modern day life and imagine the castaways had it on the island. How would they (or one of them, etc.) use it? Once you answer, suggest a new item. The only catch is that the answer cannot be used for rescue purposes (or that will always be the answer somehow). I'll start:
Post-its
kooky12 06-25-2008, 02:12 PM The professor could use them to label his chemicals, etc. in his lab.
A taser.
mrs.gingerhinkley 06-29-2008, 04:33 PM A new way to deal with pesky headhunters!
A guitar
To help put the Skipper to sleep so he can dream how to convert the radio into a transmitter.
A case of Red Wine
Ireneparalegal 06-29-2008, 06:42 PM To control huge spiders
Cordless phone

a disco ball
OH Nuts! 06-30-2008, 04:10 PM to call in a rescue party
a disco ball
To dance to that new island rock tune Disco Lovie
a letter opener
kooky12 07-01-2008, 09:43 AM Might be used if Mary Ann's creepy boyfriend ever wrote her a letter in a bottle back.
A chia pet.
EvaGrubb 07-02-2008, 11:34 PM The Chia Pett would be used by the Professor to grow a neverending supply of salva hispanica, or "chia" to add omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidents, vitamins, minerals, and fiber to the castaways' diets. Gilligan might protest the harvesting of the "chia" from the Chia Pet, because periodically it would leave his little ram friend without any warm "fur."
Microwave.
as a warm foot stool
a Twister Game
kooky12 07-09-2008, 01:37 PM The guys would give Twister to Ginger & Mary Ann as a gift and then watch the girls play a game for some thrills. As you can imagine, the boys' eyes would pop out as the girls' body parts popped out of their clothes, twisting around, one in tight shorts, the other in a tight dress. Finally the boys would need to run to the lagoon to cool down.
A Hummer (with a full tank of gas).
CAJeannieFan57 07-14-2008, 08:25 PM Turn it into a plane or boat and sail away?
A solar panel.
Mikado 07-15-2008, 02:17 AM A great way to patch the hole in the roof of the hut
an ipod
Yooch 07-15-2008, 03:14 AM Use the backlight to lure mosquitoes into a trap.
A box of blank DVDs
Schmoopie 07-15-2008, 05:52 AM Hang them on a tree for Christmas decorations!
A pair of skis (snow)
kooky12 07-15-2008, 09:34 AM They would come in handy when the volcano erupts, since the ash comes down like snow. They could even slolam down the volcano.
A metal detector.
Yooch 07-15-2008, 11:54 AM Mr. Howell would use it as a 'space age' golf club.
George Foreman Grill
Mikado 07-16-2008, 07:02 AM a nutcracker for doing several at a time
one of those thingys that holds several rolls of toilet paper at a time?
CAJeannieFan57 07-20-2008, 11:36 PM A baseball bat.
A ceiling fan?
kooky12 07-30-2008, 01:19 PM They could install it up in the air and use it as a windmill to turn their washing machine. Beats pedaling !
A GPS device.
Mikado 08-06-2008, 03:47 PM Ginger would make a lovely broach
A can of dogfood
They could use it as caviar for those Russian spacemen.
a ceramic cat cookie jar
Lovey's special chamber pot.
Text messaging
kooky12 08-26-2008, 10:47 AM If the text messager was waterproof, the Skipper and Gilligan could use it to transmit information about all the sunken ships in the lagoon up to the professor.
A case of Suzy-Qs.
Wreckless 09-15-2008, 07:55 AM They could use the cases to attract in water animals that smelled the pastries and were hungry, then they could cook and eat the animals.
Hand Lotion
They could use it for MaryAnn's dishpan hands & to get all those stuck rings off.
A package of typing paper
kooky12 09-22-2008, 01:15 PM They could put Gilligan's super glue on the typing paper, and make a sort of fly paper, to catch those deadly green bugs with yellow wings.
A canister of dry ice.
to make lots of coconut ice cream
A giant size can of Raid
The giant spider, of course!!! (Poor spider!)
A xerox machine
kooky12 10-23-2008, 02:39 PM The Howells could Xerox their party invitations, assuring that no one gets jilted.
Also, Gilligan could Xerox his diary so that he won't keep losing it in his back pocket.
Finally, Mary Ann could make Xerox copies of all those notes to her made-up boyfriend; that way, she won't have to keep writing more fake letters.
A segway.
