And I just saw real TV for awhile.
I may be in my 20's, but when I tell people that I watched this show and laughed...I feel older.

I'm around the same age group (a little younger actually) and I love THE BOB NEWHART SHOW and NEWHART as well. The comedy of today's television is nothing more than sex and drug humor, at least for the most part. Shows like Bob Newhart's series' and other classic TV shows are real television: funny, entertaining, and always something you can watch with your family. I just rewatched the pilot the other day (not the episode "P-I-L-O-T", but the actual first episode entitled "Fly The Unfriendly Skies"), and it was pure gold. Hilarity at its best. My favorite moment of that episode is when Bob is assuring his fear of flying group that flying is perfectly safe when Howard (a navigator) walks in saying "Sorry I'm late, I got lost on my way over here."

^ The Thanksgiving episode from 1975 is also a classic. Someone at MTM Video should put that and WKRP's "Turkeys Away" on one DVD as a big Thanksgiving special.
