Has anybody seen ads for this show on NBC? They gives babies to teens who think they're ready to have kids and then watch what happens. It looks like an interesting social experiment for sure....

I like the concept- I think it will make some teens think twice before purposefully trying to get pregnant (because for some reason there are teens out there that atually think getting pregnant at a young age is ideal). At the very least maybe it will convince them to wear a condom!

I am looking forward to The Baby Borrowers. I think it will be interesting. I used to teach sex ed. and had students pretend they were parents to a raw egg. For some students the point registered, but for others, not quite. Hopefully this show will educate at least a few and lead to fewer teen pregnancies. June 25 at 9pm on NBC.

True - especially after the MA teen pregnancy pact story broke - are you kidding me?! depending on the actual educational value of the show it might not hurt to start showing it in sex ed or parenting classes that high schools have. It's just scary when a teenage girl needs to use motherhood as a personal identifier

I like this show so far!

To me, it helps teens think twice before having babies and bringing a child into the world that they can't take care of or decide to neglect!!

Tonight's episode is about teens and babies.:)

Teens don't think ONCE about having babies and bringing a child into the world that they can't take care of or decide to neglect. They think about having sex.

The natural reaction of any teenager who's made to watch this show to "teach them a lesson" would be "I'm not gonna get pregnant, I'm not that stupid" or "I'm not gonna get anyone pregnant, we're not that stupid" .

If a teen ager has any values to begin with, they won't need to watch a show like this to "learn" anything. And if they don't have any values by the time they're teenagers, then it's way too late for a show like this to have any impact.

Besides, Jamie Lynn Spears already has shown how cool it is to give birth when you're 16.

Plus, it's already proven that if enough girls at the same school get pregnant at the same time, then they're ALL cool. wow, they get to be flown first class to NYC to go on "Good Morning America"...and stay in five star hotels! Can't beat that!

Any parent that puts their infant on this show should be shot.

So true.

Teens have no idea what goes into taking care of a child. They only think of the good things and not abt the financial and emotional toll it takes.
