How many feathered friends came on the island and named them if you can please?

I can think of Everett the duck, Sam the parrot and Walter the pigeon. There was a goose in V for Vitamins but I don't know if she had a name or if it's applicable.

There was also the ganster parrot.

Don't forget -- Everett was really an "Emily"! ;)

I feel like an honorable mention should go to the "Chicken People" on Mars!!!!

Another honorable mention for Gilligan, when he jumped off the hut in his feather suit...."I've been watching the birds fly, it's real easy...."

Sam the gangster parrot makes a return cameo in "Voodoo," where he squawks and scares the girls into the Professor's arms.

In "Smile, You're on Mars Camera" when Gilligan asks the birds to donate feathers for Mrs. Howell's pillow, a mysterious bird of Paradise tosses down a spectacular tail plume.

A great horned owl comforts Gilligan while on the run from hunter Jonathan Kincaid.

In "Seer Gilligan," Gilligan offers to build a bird house for four baby birds.

Gilligan tells a crow to go away - and it does - in "The Sound of Quacking."

Gilligan has a duck friend called Gretchen in "Allergy Time."

Gilligan compliments Dr. Balinkoff's beautiful parakeet Timothy in "The Friendly Physician."

An African grey parrot repeats Gilligan's comments on the Skipper's terrible acting in "Angel on the Island."

The Professor has a watchbird in "The Invasion."

Russ Grieve plays three natives: the silent, tattooed headhunter in "How to Be a Hero," the chief of the invading tribe in "Music Hatch Charm," and the father of the rotund native girl in "Gilligan's Mother in Law."

Eddie Little Sky also plays three natives: Haruki from "Gilligan's Mother in Law," the leader of the headhunters in "Topsy Turvy," and the gleefully wicked witch-doctor in "Voodoo."

Janos Prohaska played most of the apes, I believe!

Veteran character actor; the late great Vito Scotti played the Japanese sailor twice, and also played Dr. Boris Balinkoff twice.


And Denny Miller appeared twice on the island; once as surfer Duke Williams and an actor trying out his "Tongo" character on the island.

BTW Janos Prohaska also played the giant spider.


Also; as for birds, Gilligan was attacked twice by a woodpecker. Once in "Two On A Raft" and again in "Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow."
