i have every incarnation of wizard of oz on dvd including my very first version i ever owned from 1989. its a 50th anniversary vhs tape that included a 32 page booklet. the 3 disc special edition has all that the 2 disc special edition has however the 3rd disc includes a biography on l. frank baum and wizard of oz silent movies. they should have included the tv movie with john ritter as l. frank baum. that would have been a nice touch.

The Magnificent Seven

That's a great movie. Steve McQueen totally steals that movie. :notworthy I love it when he says, "We deal in lead". That's one of the great all time movie lines.

When it comes to John Travolta, it doesn't matter. I have the 25th anniversary edition as well so it only makes sense the John lover in me has to buy every edition of his movies. ;) If they come out with a 35th anniversary edition, I am getting it.

I just bought yesterday a box set titled "50 Horror Classics" which includes two of my fave b&w horror movies THE BRAIN THAT WOULDN'T DIE and NOSEFERATU.

so excited i bought what about bob super cheap on ebay, it should be here anyday. i haven't seen it in ages and really am into movies that will make me laugh at the moment. i also have one special victory coming anyday from ioffer. it was a tv movie with john larroquette from night court. basically he plays this morally bankrupt real estate agent whose life is falling apart. his wife has left him recently etc. and he gets drunk one night and vandalizes the house she won in the divorce settlement. he ends up having to do community service for this mentally challenged basketball team. it sounds a little cliche but its not overly sappy. ray waltson from my favorite martian is in it as well as phil hartman, kathy baker from picket fences, angela bassett, concetta tormei and dan blocker's son dirk. i think joe pantelone (sp?) from sopranos is too. i like his answering machine message, i used to have it as the message for my voicemail: when you hear the beep, speak!
