View Full Version : The episode-"Gomer Pyle, USMC" that airs at 5pm Today on CrapLand-lol
TVFactFan 06-15-2008, 11:56 AM Is this a pilot for Gomer Pyle that will focus mainly on the setup of Gomer Pyle and it's characters and focus less on the Andy Griffith Characters?
Trying to find out if this episode of Andy Griffith is a preview of the actual Gomer Pyle Show ?
If so i would like to get an idea of how the Gomer Pyle show will be

Not since the early 80's which is why my memory of the show is foggy
BarneyFife 06-15-2008, 02:01 PM It's one of my favorite shows of all time, I just wish TV Land would run it again, but I know thats never gonna happen.

Which reminds me, I wonder if BET is one of the few stations that DOES NOT crunch the credits to the side? I notice they don't put any voice-overs or squeeze the credits, which is so rare nowadays. They have on occasion, plastered something on the bottom of the screen announcing when a certain show is going to air, but really, other than that it is not like other stations that bombard you with stuff on the screen and the credits being crunched.

Nope they don't, that's why I was so amazed when watching DS on BET back in March because usually you can only see full closing credits on a DVD

It dawned on me the other night when I was wanting to know the name of one of the characters who appeared. I was shocked because ADW is one of the few shows, that when it airs, you still see the credits. When ADW aired on OXYGEN, you could see the credits there too. There was sometimes a voice-over, but at least you could see the names of people on the show. So I guess BET and OXYGEN are two stations that haven't resorted to "crunching credits."
storrs19 06-20-2008, 09:40 AM TVOne also does not crunch the end credits. I noticed this when I taped 227 from there a few years ago but they still do not do it as I have been taping Amen from them and it runs with the complete credits including the Carson Productions Logo. American Life Network (formerly Nostalgia, then Good Life TV) also does not. The channels that don't are certainly a rara avis in terris.
