Anyone have, ''The Helpful Neighbor'' from Dec 17, 1958?
I have a homemade compilation DVD of various songs from O&H shows that someone sent me. It is mostly Rick singing, but there are some other singing segments from the show included.
There are two separate songs on there, obviously from the same episode. One is Ozzie singing, ''I Still Get A Thill'' and then Ricky singing, ''It's Late''. Both sing on the stairs of the Nelson house with the exact same back up musicians, Jim Burton, etc.
If you have the ''Ricky Sings'' DVD, this ''It's Late'' version is on there. You can also go to that un-named online spot with videos and search for [Rick Nelson It's Late 1950s B&W].
It looks like a very cute episode. There is huge Bridge party going on at the Nelsons. Harriet has on a black dress and pearls. She introduces Ozzie's song as Rick is upstairs getting his guitar. As Ozzie sings, Darby and Doc eat cake, and Darby remarks something about ''best ever'' and Doc asks if he means Ozzie's singing, and Darby says, ''no, the cake !!!''
Then when Rick is singing, Clara tells ''Sally''--''This is the best bridge party you have ever given'' and Sally says ''Thanks'' and then the expression on Sally's face shows that she realizes is not her party. Then we see Ozzie & Harriet groovin' to Rick's song, and Ozzie takes a bite out of a huge piece of cake [cake seems to have some significance in this episode]. Connie Harper is seen enjoying Rick's song while holding a toddler, but she is not Miss Edwards in this episode.
From the only episode description I could find, I believe the songs came from this episode:

Sally: Sally Hughes. Alice: Connie Harper. Ed: Ray Montgomery. Mr. Jenkins: Richard Powers. June: June Fanley.
Ozzie's song is great, as is Rick's. If the songs are from a homemade DVD, the episode has to be out there somewhere. Would love to find it !!!
