In the Maryann cookbook, one of Ginger's trivia questions asks how many huts were on the island--the answer is 5. One was the Skipper/Gilligan hut, two was the girls' hut, three was the Howells' hut and four was the Professor/supply hut. Right? if not, what's the error here? Does anyone know? Thanks.

That seems right, but I'm not sure. Sometimes there seemed to be huts that mysteriously disappeared... or changed drastically. Like that one little hut that was down by the lagoon in some of the first season.

On the subject of huts, something I always found confusing was when they got individual huts instead of the community hut. It seemed to go back and forth; sometimes they were sepperated, the next episode together.
Also, wouldn't that seem risque for them to all be in the same hut? With only blankets to seperate them??

I thought 4 would be the Professors and 5 would be the supply hut.

The supply hut was separate. Gilligan used it to store feathers once.

They should have had some type of 'outhouse' hut.

But didn't the Professor sleep in the supply hut--wasn't that where the food locker was and everything?

As for the same hut thing--I think that's in the earliest episodes--it was done out of necessity but it's true, they did seem to wait awhile before the separate huts got into motion after "St. Gilligan and the Dragon." The consecutiveness of the episodes, also, is a mystery, it seems--do they really follow one after the other or are they sometimes out of order in a way.
