Michael, do you know if Martina is doing any Chicago dates? I would love to see her again. I saw her when she was supporting her Timeless album, but considering how much I love Waking Up Laughing, I would love to see her do some of those songs live.

I saw Van Halen on May 30th and Rush on June 9th. I'm considering going to see the Eagles this September.

At the end of August she will be at the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre. So far the word is that she's releasing a new single (from a new album) in July so she might debut it this summer during her tour. I can't wait!

Thanks for the info, Michael. :) I did a little online research and found that Martina is playing the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre on Saturday August 30th. The tickets are very reasonable in price too. I'm pretty sure I will be going.

I look forward to her new album. As I've mentioned many times before, I just love Waking Up Laughing. I think it is the best album ever recorded by a female artist and one of the top 20 best albums ever recorded period! :)

That's awesome that you'll probably be going! Wow, you really seem to hold that album with high regard. I love it, too. I just wish it would have done better sales wise. It's a ton better than anything else country related that's been released this past year.

You weren't kidding when you said prices were reasonable. The ones for the venue here were close to $85 before Ticketmaster fees. Though, seeing Martina from 4th row makes it all worthwhile!

DS wanted to see Steve Vai last summer with a friend. He was afraid tickets would sell out right away, and his credit card had been declined. He ended up using my card, and I h ad to wait in line for hours on a hot hot hot summer evening to pick up their tickets.

I really hope this summer will be different !!!

I saw Martina McBride in concert last summer in Paso Robles, CA at the California Mid-State Fair. I was visiting my friend Brenda and one of her friends had free tickets to the show. :D It was awesome!!

It's tentatively scheduled for a fall release and WUL was released early April '07. So it's shorter than the breaks Martina typically takes between albums, but good for the fans! She is co-producing this one with Dann Huff, and she seems to be very excited about the songs she's recorded so far.

I'm looking forward to it. :) Last night I watched her recently released DVD, Martina McBride: Live In Concert, and it was really, really good. She was amazing on "Where Would You Go". You could see her really putting all of herself into that song. It was also cool that the show was filmed in Illinois. One of the more positive things I can say about this state is that music fans here are really, really loyal. I think you can see that on the DVD.

Possibly a Herman's Hermits concert in Hershy, PA... but I'm not holding my breath or anything at this point. Hopefully I'll get to see this Beatle's tribute band sometime... not sure.

WWYB is definitely one of Martina's best live performances. It's right up there with A Broken Wing. I'm really not sure how she can do that song night after night. I wish I could have attended that taping. A lot of people came from all over to be there. Several of the people that were closed up on in the audience are actual regular posters on Martina's forum.

Tickets for Janet's Ft. Lauderdale show goes on sale tomorrow morning. She is one I would like to see, too, so I'm going to get my tickets tomorrow. It's not a summer concert though, the show is in Oct.

But I am going to see Poison in July and Dweezil Zappa the next day. I would like to go to Rocklahoma this year but my schedule doesn't allow to take all that time off.

First, I went to Iron Maiden on the 2nd of this month, which totally baked and ruled, and now, next month on the 22nd, I'm going to see:

I'm now also seeing Wynonna Judd on July 17th and Dolly Parton on Aug 13th. Martina is now in 2 days! I can't wait. She rehearsed some new cover songs today to add to the summer tour, and I'm looking forward to finding out what they are.
