This is just my opinion but when i watch Three's Company the one message I think it was sending was that a Young Guy Could live with 2 Young Girls platoicly and have nothing going on.

I think the message was the lifestyle of California in the mid 70's. Look at other films and shows that depict this. All very similar. Young people by a beach having fun and being free spirited.
