If any of you have the dart trading cards--you'll notice that in the Gilligan biography info it states his age as 15. This is really ridiculous as he is obviously not even a teenager, but in his 20's. Why do they say this? Is this from the show's "treatment" that is described in the "Before The 3 Hour Tour" segment on the 1st season DVD? They also list Ginger's age as 25. This is more believable but do you think she's really so close in age to Gilligan?

That was most likely a printing error that was never corrected. It happens alot with sportscards.

Yeah... Gilligan's definately over 15
I think the bio on the official GI site puts him at 21 I think.
I'm pretty sure that the site also has Ginger as 25 as well.

Oh, and this question is kind of relevant... How old would you place the Skipper as? I was wondering for a fanfic I'm working on.

In "Meet the Meteor," the end of season two, and presumably the end of their second year on the island, Gilligan gives us his age: 22. The people doing the Dart trading cards just got sloppy. There are some other things there that were never mentioned as canon: the Skipper being from Seattle, Washington, Mr. Howell being from Gros Pointe, Michigan...I have no idea where they came up with this stuff.

The first season dvd says that in one of the early treatments, Gilligan and the Skipper weren't buddies from the navy. Gilligan was a last-minute replacement for the Skipper's real first mate, who had become ill. I'm so glad they changed this. It was the strength of their long friendship that helped them weather all those blunders and mishaps!

Oh, and as for Ginger...I always thought she was a little older than 25. Maybe 28 in Season 1? Hard to say. But it would add to her fears of becoming a has-been if she's nearing 30.
